Preference’s Superior Fade-Defying Color & Shine system creates luminous, lit-from-within color, with natural-looking highs & lows, and beautiful gray coverage. With up to 8 weeks of fade-defying color, rich, long-lasting color shines from every strand and resists fading or turning brassy week after week. The kit also includes a color protective Color and Shine Conditioner formulated with Golden Camelina Oil, Anti-Oxidant Vitamin E and UV filter to help keep first day color vibrancy and silky, resilient hair.
Whether you desire blonde hair, brown hair, black hair or red hair, Superior Preference has an at-home solution for you. Superior Preference is available in 49 luminous shades that range across a wide spectrum of different tones. Each shade is crafted to show infinite tones and reflects, so you can find your own Superior Preference signature.

How to use for the first time:
Apply All Over. Apply hair color mixture to dry, unwashed hair. Apply color at your root area and through ends until completely saturated.
Leave on for 25 minutes.
Rinse-out until water runs clear.
Condition. Apply enough Color & Shine Conditioner to thoroughly saturate hair and leave on for 2-3 minutes. Rinse.
How to touch up roots:
Touch up root area first. Make ¼” partings through dry, unwashed hair with applicator tip. Apply hair color mixture onto new growth root area only until completely saturated. Leave color on new growth root area for 20 minutes. TIP: For resistant grays, leave on for an additional 5 minutes.
Apply to rest of hair. Apple remaining product to rest of hair to refresh color. Let develop for 5 minutes. Total application time is 25 minutes.
Rinse-out until water runs clear.
Condition. Apply enough Color & Shine Conditioner to thoroughly saturate hair and leave on for 2-3 minutes. Rinse.

I do expect some to get on my my face but very little with the other product I use. The scent was like hair colour. However, it did cover my roots. Now to wait and see how long the gray coverage lasts. The product was sent to me by #influenster and @ loreal free for my honest review.

There is some smell but not too bad. When you wash the dye out, it has a salon smell that lasts until you wash your hair again. This is my go to hair dye!

I HAVE USED DARK ASH BROWN FOR YEARS. BUT THIS NEW FORMULA IS TERRIBLE. IT NOW HAS WAY MORE RED - WHICH I HATE. THE COLOR DOESN'T LAST TWO WEEKS, PLUS THE SMELL IS AWFUL. WHY IN THE WORLD DID YOU CHANGE THE OLD FORMULA? I WILL BE FINDING AN ALTERNATIVE TO YOUR PRODUCT.

I added a little extra to the roots of my existing blonde highlights to refresh them. We threw a little bit at my daughter‘s hair to lighten up her mouse brown colored hair so she could have a little summer fun easy enough to put on smells not too bad

The instructions were easy to follow, and it didn’t have that super strong chemical smell. I have natural textured hair and was a little nervous, but it didn’t dry it out or mess with my curl pattern. My hair actually felt soft afterward, which was a nice surprise. The shine is so pretty and it’s holding up really well so far.

The color came out rich and natural, with full coverage and a healthy shine. Application was easy, though the gloves were a bit flimsy and the scent was strong, so ventilation is a must. The formula spread evenly, didn’t drip, and the conditioner left her hair, soft and smooth. The packaging is simple, but has everything you need. If you’re looking for a solid at home color with lasting results and strong gray coverage this one delivers. Just be ready for the chemical scent and grab a better glove if you can.

The color itself is beautiful, however, it doesn't do a real good job on dark roots, I have used alot of box hair dyes, and although they're a good color lift, they dont do a great job on dark roots. I will say box hair dyes have come a long way, the smell is not at all over bearing, and the blonde color is very pretty, and bright. I just wish they had a stronger formula for roots.

I’ve actually used it to lighten up my roots and believe it or not. It made them light so I can add a pink color and it looks gorgeous. I recently received the Loreal Paris superior preference faith, defying. Shine, permanent hair, color, 6.5 G light golden Brown and the shade. Looks like it would bring out the golden tones in my face. I having an easy date yet because I recently went to the hair salon, but this is definitely next on My list.
