Kristin Ess The One Signature Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging for this shampoo is cute and I really like the twist top model. It seems like a pretty basic shampoo-not good and not bad. The scent just basically smells like soap and it will clean your hair and get the job done, but hair doesn’t feel especially soft or shiny afterwards.

It does have a noticeable scent, so that’s something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to fragrance. I thought it lathered really well and made my hair feel so soft. This shampoo is labeled as “lightly clarifying,” and I found it to be a little drying for everyday use for my hair. However, it worked beautifully when I cut back to using it only twice a week. The packaging is also really nice and easy to operate in the shower. (I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.)

I rarely comment on the smell of a beauty product, but this is fantastic. It’s like a warm white musk and not overpowering floral scent. Lathers and cleans well with one wash and rinses clean.

I love the sleek, luxurious packaging of the bottle. I liked that a little shampoo goes a long way, and it lathers up decently. My scalp always feels clean after washing, and at times, my hair felt stronger. However, I felt like sometimes it would dry out my hair, and my ends could look dull.

The texture is luxurious with a very rich lather. The smell is very soothing and earthy which I love! It doesn’t feel drying as other shampoos yet my hair feels clean. If you haven’t tried it, add it to your list it’s worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you've used Kristin Ess before, you know their signature scent and this one has it. The scent will stay all day and all night. I find it pleasant, but it might put some off depending on their sensitivity to perfume. The shampoo itself is great too. I do think my hair is clean and lightweight which is important since I have very fine hair. I don't think it's ultra moisturizing, but I do have chemically treated hair. Now, the packaging is absolutely lovely. The bottles are made of an anti-slip silicone and are super easy to squeeze. The top isn't hard to open either and I like that the cap design adds a certain amount of traction to it so your fingers aren't slipping from water and suds. My only con is the color of the bottles. I WISH there was a more noticeable difference between the Shampoo and Conditioner bottles. They're not the same color by any means but the difference is very subtle. Regardless, I would repurchase.

It has a thicker texture, which I actually like—it lathers really well and feels luxurious. The scent is amazing (fresh and light), and it leaves my hair soft and shiny. I use it every other day and it keeps my scalp balanced. Only downside is the cap is a little tough to open in the shower.

Kristen Ess The One Shampoo is definitely worth the hype I've heard about it. My hair had more volume after every wash. My hair smelled clean but held the signature scent. I recieved numerous compliments on how bright my hair looked after using this shampoo. And I could wash my hair every other day no problem. My hair wasn't oily at all with this shampoo. I really loved the thick viscosity of the shampoo itself. And the lather is truly fantastic! I took away one star because my scalp will have dry spots, especially in the heat of summer (it's August and 102 today). This shampoo made my scalp a little bit irritated the more I used it. I tend to switch between two different shampoos for this reason, plus I use a scalp soothing ointment to prevent itch or flakes. I only used this shampoo and nothing else for 2 straight weeks to give my honest and thorough review of the product. So if you have a sensitive scalp, be prepared for this to be maybe too drying or irritating for you. I recieved this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review.

I’m not a huge fan of the bottle style, although they are on the smaller side which makes travel easier. The shampoo is on the thicker side and requires less than other brands to be effective. The scent is lighter which I appreciate. My hair felt clean yet conditioned after use.
