The first time that I used this hair dryer the air changed from hot to cold by itself. Super weird. In the beginning, I thought that was me and the dryer worked like that. But no, I spend almost the double of time drying my daughter's hair. I am going to return it.

Bought this about 3 months ago and I was smelling burnt in my home over the weekend come Monday I turn it on and I’m upside down and I see bright red inside the blower and it smells like burning I yanked out the plug and tossed it!! I had it plugged in over the weekend I wonder if it was shorting out during that time ugh!! It never really had power blowing it seemed very quiet but never again! Do not buy! Be safe!!

I finally got rid of my old dinosaur hair dryer, and this one is amazing. Rather than getting very hot it relies on very high air speed and strength to get your hair dry, and it dries my hair in a fraction of the time as my old hot hair dryer. One downside is that a lot of the hair products I use require heat to be activated, and this just doesn't get that hot. The upside is it doesn't damage your hair. Unbeatable for the price.

It starts off strong with good heat then all of a sudden the air turns cool. I thought it was in my mind, I looked at the setting and turned it on again and pointed the nozzle at my forearm and it did it again. I only got through one part of my hair. I repackaged up again to return. Do not recommend.

Excellent value, great hair dryer.
I have long straight hair that takes longer to dry; I don't do any styling. I had a Conair Infinity 1875w hair dryer with similar features that stopped working. This Remington was recommended online so I thought I would try it - plenty happy with it. Nothing astounding, it just works; although I believe my hair had less frizziness compared to the Conair. I also wanted to try a fancier (to me) hair dryer and bought the BaByliss Titanium 2000w - which got much hotter, but the blower wasn't as strong. The BaByliss is a good hair dryer (lighterweight and somewhat quieter, long cord) but I think I prefer the Remington just slightly more for the stronger blower. For a fraction of the price, it's also worth it.

Problem with heating element
I bought this at the end of Sept 2023. After a few uses the dryer quit heating. I would tip the nozzle down and it would heat for a few minutes before it started blowing cold air again. Probably a bad connection somewhere. Today I decided I'd done that long enough. I'm going to look on the Remington website to find out if I have any recourse.

My prior hair dryer died on me so I needed one quick and didn't have time to really compare or shop around, just saw this one, it sounded good from the box, bought it. I've waited a few weeks to review to make sure I've used it enough to comment accurately. The first thing I noticed is that it's incredibly light weight. So much lighter than my prior one. It has all the features you could want including a cold button. But mostly, I am impressed by the speed. It just dries my incredibly thick air so much faster than my prior one. Should have listened to the reviews
Does not get hot at all. It barely gets warm and then cools down. The nozzle is long so if you add one of the attachments you'd better have long arms, especially to do back of head. Lol. The cord is a little short for my liking. I have very fine hair and with this dryer it takes too much time to dry. I will be returning. I guess you get what you pay for.
