Bought this about 3 months ago and I was smelling burnt in my home over the weekend come Monday I turn it on and I’m upside down and I see bright red inside the blower and it smells like burning I yanked out the plug and tossed it!! I had it plugged in over the weekend I wonder if it was shorting out during that time ugh!! It never really had power blowing it seemed very quiet but never again! Do not buy! Be safe!!

I finally got rid of my old dinosaur hair dryer, and this one is amazing. Rather than getting very hot it relies on very high air speed and strength to get your hair dry, and it dries my hair in a fraction of the time as my old hot hair dryer. One downside is that a lot of the hair products I use require heat to be activated, and this just doesn't get that hot. The upside is it doesn't damage your hair. Unbeatable for the price.

It starts off strong with good heat then all of a sudden the air turns cool. I thought it was in my mind, I looked at the setting and turned it on again and pointed the nozzle at my forearm and it did it again. I only got through one part of my hair. I repackaged up again to return. Do not recommend.

Excellent value, great hair dryer.
I have long straight hair that takes longer to dry; I don't do any styling. I had a Conair Infinity 1875w hair dryer with similar features that stopped working. This Remington was recommended online so I thought I would try it - plenty happy with it. Nothing astounding, it just works; although I believe my hair had less frizziness compared to the Conair. I also wanted to try a fancier (to me) hair dryer and bought the BaByliss Titanium 2000w - which got much hotter, but the blower wasn't as strong. The BaByliss is a good hair dryer (lighterweight and somewhat quieter, long cord) but I think I prefer the Remington just slightly more for the stronger blower. For a fraction of the price, it's also worth it.

Problem with heating element
I bought this at the end of Sept 2023. After a few uses the dryer quit heating. I would tip the nozzle down and it would heat for a few minutes before it started blowing cold air again. Probably a bad connection somewhere. Today I decided I'd done that long enough. I'm going to look on the Remington website to find out if I have any recourse.

Does not get hot at all. It barely gets warm and then cools down. The nozzle is long so if you add one of the attachments you'd better have long arms, especially to do back of head. Lol. The cord is a little short for my liking. I have very fine hair and with this dryer it takes too much time to dry. I will be returning. I guess you get what you pay for.

Not hot and bad switch placement
I have had many blow-dryers in my life. This is by far at the bottom of my list. I understand the damage control feature, yet it wasn't high enough for my liking. I have fine straight hair. It takes too long for me. Also, the button placement is frustrating. I keep turning it off while trying to dry my hair. I am definitely returning it. I need an option for higher heat if I'm using my round brush. Also forgot to mention, I didn't think it was as light as others were saying. I'm not one to do reviews, or return things, but this had to be said and returned.

I honestly thought all blow dryers were equal. This blow dryer is amazing and so affordable! I noticed a few reviews talk about how it doesn’t get very hot and it doesn’t get THAT hot BUT it still dries my hair faster than other blow dryers that get really hot so I call that a win! And probably really helps with not damaging my hair. I didn’t realize it came with two different attachments too. I will buy this over and over if it ever goes out. Obsessed is an understatement! Oh and my hair doesn’t get as frizzy either compared to my other blow dryers that get really hot!

Strength is great and no issues with sparks or anything with the switches or plug HOWEVER after only a couple of months using it about 3 times a week for 5-10 mins each time, the heat has DESTROYED the diffuser which I NEED because I have curly hair. It will not stay on hardly at all. So if you don't need any attachments it is great, but if you do then DO NOT PURCHASE. I'm either going to have to buy one that fits around the outside of the dryer or get a new hair dryer all together which I am NOT happy about.

Dislike: high heat setting is only warm. I have fine hair and it takes 10 minutes to dry my hair on the high heat setting, twice as long as my previous hair dryer. It works, but don't expect hot air.
