I am very pale and black mascara is too stark of a contrast on me. I have medium brown/reddish hair. I've been waiting fir years for ELF to make a waterproof brown mascara. Im sure an auburn colored one would help as well.

I previously wrote a review, and I mentioned that when I wore this is water I was left with grey lashes. No idea what went wrong the first time, but this actually holds up really well in water. However the wand is still horrible and hard to use.

I really wanted to like it because I absolutely hate my mascara running when I go swimming, and this seems to be the only waterproof option elf offers. It’s a little pricy, and the wand is so hard to use. I have worn it in water only one time so far, and while it didn’t run all over my face, the color left on my eyes was a sad grey.

This mascara is not waterproof. It comes off with moisture and everyday wear. Tried wearing this while swimming, and it came off my lashes then stuck to the skin under my eyes. Only giving this two stars because I like the way it looks right after I apply it. If I were looking for a decent mascara for a good price, I would get the regular version of this, not the waterproof one.

I would not recommend this product. I applied at home, drove to the beach on a hot day, and before I even made it to my destination, I had black smudges all over my upper eye area from this mascara. It also barely applies with one coat.

Had to apply multiple coats in order to have mascara on my lashes. I’ve used it multiple times and every single time it ends up on my skin below my eyes and on my eyelids. I was really hoping to find a cleaner waterproof mascara that didn’t smudge, flake, or run.

I've used this mascara for a few year's, after buying it the first time and loving it, my last 3 tubes seem like different mascara, barely goes on, when I try adding more, even tho there's hardly anything on my lashes, it goes on messy, not clean like it went on before. I love a good mascara. I put this one on when I received it although I was just getting ready for bed. I had to try it. After applying a few coats I was very pleased with the coverage and plump it gives my lashes. I went to put on my face lotion and ran my fingers right across my lashes. I thought it would be everywhere but it didn’t budge. I slept with it and didn’t wake up with raccoon eyes. Will buy again

I usually use L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise, so I was comparing this to that mascara going in. I didn’t really like it at first with just the 1 coat as I wasn’t really getting the volume I typically like, and it wasn’t holding the curl. But I tried it again with 2 coats and a slightly different application method, and it turned out a lot better. I do agree with some of the other reviews saying that the brush is really big and can be a bit messy. It’s overall a good mascara, especially for the price! I think I’ll be finishing it.
