With my daughter's insistence, I finally starting using the Shea Moisture products. I starting using the Yucca Baobab line first, and after one week, I noticed the difference in my hair. It is thicker, softer and is growing really fast, and I've noticed less hair shedding. I also use the Raw Shea butter line for moisture and dryness and I use the African Black Soap for itching. I have been using this for at least 4 months. I am transitioning from permed to natural. It has been very frustrating and I've become a product junky! I have spent far more TIME and MONEY on my hair and on products than ever before. However, I LOVE THIS! it smells so good. It also leaves my hair feeling very soft and manageable. I also use the deep treatment masque as a deep conditioner. Once I wash that off, I use this product and a leave in. I particularly like it when I wash and set my hair which I used to do weekly but now only do no sooner than once per month. It leaves my hair feeling soft and bouncy and over all good! see less

I love this product! I'm looking at the entire SheaMoisture product line because I love this product so much. I purchased the Restorative Conditioner some time ago and then forgot about it. In Jan. 2013, I decided to transition from permed hair to natural hair. So I did some reading and the ingredients in the Restorative Conditioner caught my attention. I used the Restorative Conditioner as a leave in daily moisturizer at night. I sectioned my hair and applied a small amount from roots to tips. My hair was immediately moisturized and easier to manage. I braided my hair and used soft curlers on the ends. The results were beautiful! My hair has shine and it's moisturized and it looks that way. I have noticed no breakage although I am told my permed hair will start breaking. I have been using this product for a month now and I am interested to try other SheaMoisture products. In the meantime, I am loving my shiny textured hair more than I thought I would. see less

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this conditioner. I have been natural for about a year and my hair is really curly and can sometimes be very dry and hard to manage but after i applied this, i saw an instant change. My hair was softer, looked healthier, fuller and smelled great and the best part was the next morning my hair was still soft and manageable and not dry. I am currently using the shea moisture volumizing line. My hair is thicker, fuller and very moisturized. I have 4c texture hair, and I've spent "goo gobs" of money trying to find the right product for my dry hair and scalp, well "bingo", shea moisture is IT. African Americans have beautiful hair, but it can be very dry, and finding the right product is not always easy. Thanks to Shea Moisture the "cure" is moisture. Wow this product gives so much moisture and sheen that I don't even need conditioner. I've tried all of the shea moisture hair milks and this one gives the most moisture. The pink bottle and the green bottle has protein in it but yet, the Extra-Moisture Transitioning Milk doesn't. This product also has really great ingredients. I am natural and have been on a hunt for something to help me win the war against my frizzy thick hair, and I have found it. This product smooths my hair-reducing my frizz tremendously-and gives it a soft and moisturizing feel. As soon as I smoothed it on-for my overnight deep condition-my curls started popping to life and shrinking like if I was doing a wash n go with gel. I've never had that happen before so I was shocked and excited. I would highly recommend this to anybody. My hair is thick and low porosity, so if it will work for me then it will work for anybody. I used this as a leave-in in conjunction with the Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo for Dry, Damaged Hair. No rinse-out conditioner. Basically, I used it as directed and I LOVED it. Imagine that. Now that my multi-textured 4c hair is growing longer, it's more difficult to keep it looking moisturized. This detangler was very moisturizing and really did a good job of effortless detangling. I sealed with the Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Elixir and my hair was thoroughly moisturized with well-defined natural texture and healthy sheen. I purchased this because I wanted an organic diaper rash cream for my baby. This is wonderful! I put on at the first sign of redness and it goes away almost immediately. It has a little bit of a gritty texture, but once you start rubbing it in it gets smooth. I haven't tried this for my dry hands yet, but I bet it would work great! I recently discovered Shea moisture products. I have tried several Shea Moisture products, but the thickening moisture mist is one of my favorite. I do not have thin/fine hair, I have natural 4b/c hair, but the mist really makes my hair so soft and it really smell so good. I am a African American woman with thin fine hair and this is the only product that I have found to give my hair volume and that really thickens my hair. Because coconut oil is my oil of choice, the Shea Moisture scent compliments the coconut oil. I does not make my locks stiff, but it does give them a light sheen. The scent of it is like pina colada and it's great! I'm always complimented on how good I smell. I use the wash in combination with the lotion of the same scent but when using the wash alone, the scent is not overpowering so you can still wear perfume over it and not have it conflict. This is a great deep conditioning treatment for natural hair. It conditions, moisturizes, and enhances curls and coils. The scent is akin to a bubble gum/tropical scent that isn't bad during the conditioning phase. I did start to feel ill after it was in for too long. That being said, I was able to use the container up without the smell bothering me. I knew to only keep it in for shorter periods of time, plenty of time to condition and for it to work. I use Shea Moisture's Coconut and Hibiscus line, but until recently they didn't have a rinse-out conditioner and so I was using this. I'm African American and transitioning to natural hair. I have about 6 months of new growth and my natural hair is tightly coiled. My relaxed hair is fine and straight. I LOVE this conditioner on both parts of my transitioning hair. I don't really have an itchy scalp or dandruff problems, but I feel like this conditioner is amazingly moisturizing and softening. It adds a lot of slip to my hair for easy detangling. In some ways, it makes the curly roots easier to get through than the relaxed ends, which are prone to tangling! And I love the way it smells. I also rely on SM and the sister company, Nubian Heritage, because their products are all-natural without being astronomically expensive. see less

I found out about this shampoo from another website. It has caused a significant decrease in my scalp itch, which no other remedy has done. I plan on trying the Purification Masque next. One thing that surprised me about this shampoo is that it has significantly faded some hyperpigmentation on my face. I mean, within days of using it. I have not tried the black soap bar, but I tried a black soap face wash and a black soap body wash, and neither faded the spots like the shampoo has. So, I'm using the shampoo for both! see less

I read a positive review about this lotion in a parenting magazine and tried it last year. I LOVE IT!!! It smells like an expensive spa lotion and I especially love how thick it is. It should almost be in a round jar, because it's that thick. My bottle is always upside down, so I can easily get some lotion for my hands. It absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. I can't say enough good things about the thick consistency and luxurious scent. So glad Target carries the line, and it's affordable! see less

I purchased this for my face & the Organic Argan Oil & Raw Shea Body Scrub w/ Frankincense & Myrrh anti-aging & softening for the rest of my body. I ended up NOT liking this face scrub because it doesn't have enough scrubbers. It felt like I was buying a cleanser as opposed to a face scrub. Like when you go to the store & you see kids lipstick in the barbie toy section. It looks like lipstick but acts like a lip balm. Same thing here. I see the little scrubbers in there but I don't really feel them much & my skin doesn't feel polished. That's when I decided to gently try the body scrub. The sugar in that is actually gentle but effective & it leaves an oily residue that soaks into your skin in winter or if your skin is really dry. I work at a "boutique" store that is "naturally based", but I prefer products without any extra preservatives and chemicals. This is more effective and feels better than a similar product at our store, which is international I do love many of our products I'm here at the Target website to see what other Shea Moisture products there are. They are very reasonably priced and I think will be my new go tos! I am in my mid 40's and this is the perfect hand cream for me. Love it! This product line for damaged & dry hair is AWESOME. I WILL continue to buy this for as long as I can. I have fare combination skin & red waste length hair. When I first applied the shampoo, it reminded me of the consistency of my cats shampoo & I really had to work it in. What's important to me above all else is the ingredients. If a products contains ANY of the known questionable or bad ingredients, then, I just won't purchase the product. I LOVE that this product clearly labels what it DOESN'T contain. It saves me time when looking at the ingredients. I LOVE that it's organic. Sometimes or maybe all of the time, the most important thing is what you DON'T put in or on your body that helps you the most. The next most important thing to me is functionality & I feel like this product line for damaged, dry hair really does what it's supposed to. The final important part of the equation is the scent.
