Depending on exactly which year your Samsung Crystal UHD was released, your remote either uses standard disposable batteries or is a modern "SolarCell" remote that doesn't use replaceable batteries at all. Here is how to tell which one you have: 1. The Modern "SolarCell" Remote (2021–Present) If your remote is slim, has very few buttons, and has a black rectangular panel on the back, it doesn't take batteries. Battery Type: Internal Lithium-ion (Non-replaceable). How to charge: Flip it over so the solar panel faces a window or a lightbulb. Emergency Charge: There is a USB-C port on the bottom (the same kind used by most modern phones) that you can plug into for a quick boost. 2. The Quick Answer Most Models (DU8000, CU8000, AU8000, etc.): Yes, they have a Digital Audio Out (Optical) port located on the back or side. The Exception (DU7200 / DU6950): If you have the "entry-level" DU7200 or DU6950 (released in 2024–2025), Samsung actually removed the optical port to save costs. How to check your TV Look for the Glow: Turn the TV on and look at the back. If you see a small square port with a red light peeking out, that is your optical output. Fine for basic use, struggles with sports, didn’t last long

Picture is decent for the price, but I had frequent issues during live sports and fast-moving shows. The video would freeze while audio kept going, then the screen would glitch and recover—causing me to miss parts of what I was watching. Other devices on the same internet worked fine, so this seems to be a TV performance issue with built-in apps. It also stopped working after about 2–3 years, which was disappointing. Works okay for casual viewing, but not great for sports or high-motion content.

I also enjoy the fact that my keyboard and my mouth can hook up to the TV and I can utilize it as a monitor to a certain point . I do that it was easier to access internet and do work on the computer on the TV .

The television arrived at the wrong apartment and when I retrieved it l, it was cracked. I now have to return a 65" tv to Target because they will not pick it up. Beware of Target.

DID I JUST SEE A COMMERCIAL? While idling it played a commercial, homepage plays some movie channel sound on automatically. Worse software of any tv I've ever owned, a lot of garbage to make viewing annoying. Do not buy.
