The base on this item is very narrow. So narrow, in fact, that you will struggle to install it securely on your wall. It's useful if you need an uninstallable curtain rod as a prop for a stage or film production about a sad future, or if you'd like to donate your money to incompetent manufacturers. If you have a magical ability to drive screws at an impossible angle, then disregard this.

Quality rods absolutely not a practical design

Likes : good rod farmhouse look quality of rods good Dislike : the screws base is a plastic and for such heavy and thick rods such a small screw . Since screw base is plastic it’s barely on the wall . It was professionally installed too . One accidental curtain pull by my kid pulled the entire rod down . Attached pics :( also for blackout design why are there stumbles of pipe on both ends . Had to raise curtain above those stumbles and close the bend area for blackout curtains . Wish the pipe beds were smooth without stumbles.

came scratched up

I think the curtain rod delivered to me was used and returned. It was not in a box except the shipping box to deliver it to me. I feel angry that quality control would let something in this condition out the door! It's a hassle to now have to wipe down the super dusty shipping box (so I can put it in my car), get the rod packed back in the box, and tape it up, and bring it back to the store. So annoying! I'm going to order another one and hope for the best!
