  • A: HOW LONG? When Running Cleaning "Cycle" before first use of actual coffee - I timed the time for 10 cups of water to fill carafe > at about 9.5 min or simply about 1 minute PER CUP ! (with no filter, NO Coffee ONLY WATER)

    Excellent coffee for this price!

    I wanted to switch to a regular coffee maker since my kcup machine broke and didnt want to spend much. This machine is very inexpensive and makes the best coffee! Bold setting is amazing! Hot, smooth, great taste, so simple to use. Just love it.

    Poor quality

    I purchased this Hamilton Beach 12 cup coffee maker and within 5 days it quite working. Target was great and sent a replacement out. However after filling the new replacement coffeemaker up there was a stream of water coming out of the water reservoir. Target did give me a refund. I would not recommend this coffeemaker at all.

    Do not buy! Stopped working in 6 weeks.

    Do not buy this price of junk!!!! Bought this coffee maker in January. Barely 6 weeks later it stopped brewing. See video. We push the button and nothing happens. We've tried 3 outlets in the kitchen. More water less water. Nothing.

    Love this coffee maker.

    I've had this coffee maker in the past, (I accidentally broke the glass pot when cleaning and just rebought the whole thing.) Will probably always buy this coffee maker. It's simple, easy to use & clean. I'm personally not a huge fan of crazy expensive coffee makers that have 1000 different features or even keriges. Just like the simplicity of just a regular coffee pot and this checks off what I need. The best part is the automatic brew setting so you can set it up to have the coffee ready and made for the am! If you're looking for something simple that works well, this is definitely a great choice!

    fine for smaller amounts

    For the price, this coffee maker is fine, unless you want to make 10-12 cups. I believe it would overflow the basket and you'd have grounds in your cup. The most I've done is 8 and it did overflow a little. The 2nd time I made 8 cups I actually stopped it for a couple of minutes to let it catch up but that should not be necessary. It's like the drip into the pot cannot keep up with what's dripping into the basket. Also, if I start with 7 cups of water in the reservoir, there's only 6 cups in the pot when completely finished, which is strange. The coffee tastes good and is hotter than my previous more expensive machine. And for the price I won't feel bad donating and upgrading in a few months if it's really annoying. But I rarely make more than 8 cups since there are only 2 of us drinking it.
