    We bought this April 2025 and it takes 1.5 hours to finish brewing August 2026. It has always been slow compared to all other coffee makers I’ve owned, but it’s gotten worse over time. We have taken it apart to clean it and it’s still not working properly.

    Pour a Cup with NO Drips

    This Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Model black 46290 is an excellent drip coffee maker - all for less than $25. Only wish I could get it in white. I've been using ONLY Cuisinart drip coffee makers for over 50 years & have cursed it for every one of those mornings, i.e. the Cuisinart 12-cup does NOT know how to design a Carafe that doesn't LEAK everytime liquid is poured into a cup (or into the unit)! This Hamilton Beach does NOT leak/drip from the carafe spout when pouring water/coffee! I regret not switching to this drip coffee maker 49 yrs sooner. At $20 vs 5x's this for a Cuisinart, please consider this Hamilton Beach and save your money AND your sanity.

    It Is Always Burnt

    I got this coffee maker roughly two weeks ago and have tried to make a pot of coffee every day. Yet, despite changing the brew settings, the amount of water, and/or the amount of grounds, the coffee consistently ends up burnt. It tastes as if it has been burning on the hot plate for hours. I really tried to make this work, but ended up having to order another coffee maker entirely. Please save your money and buy a different coffee maker. A real nuisance that this product is sold at all given its horrible output.
