Fine Toaster
Toaster works great in performing its primary function. However when it has finished toasting the bread or bagel, it chimes a bell that scares our dog and she scurries off to her bed. Weird, right? Yessir, and so I would like to know if there is any way to stop it from chiming.

This is an okay toaster for the money. There is nothing spectacular to warrant $70. Plus it has a very loud signal/beep at the end of every roasting cycle which is not noted anyplace for descriptions or details.

Lasted 1.5 years.
This is the second one we’ve purchased. The first one was for our wedding and lasted 10 years. The second one we purchased hoping for the same result, it lasted 1.5 years. It’s amazing how much the quality or Kitchenaid and other products has gone down even further in a decade. So disappointing.

makes good toast but needs some things changed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] good but I would change a few things. the toaster is too big with alot of wasted space. seems like they could streamline it into a smaller footprint. Second thing is the lever doesn't lift up manually to cancel, it felt like it was gonna break until I went to get some reading glasses to see which button is the cancel. third thing is that it toast pretty slow. it may be that it's limited by the amperage but the supersize slots do not help. fourth is that the print for cancel and bagel is in fine print.

Died after 3 years
I was so disappointed that my toaster died after only 3 years. My previous toaster was no-name brand that lasted over 20. I expected more out of a reputable brand like Kitchen Aid.

Does the job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I love it. It seems to toast evenly. Sometimes one section is a little more done than others, but it’s not consistent and it’s not drastic. It’s doing what I wanted it to do and looking good doing it.The only thing that’s questionable is that the Opening to the crumb tray is not wide enough to allow all the crumbs to fall into the tray. I’m not sure how to get these out safely.

Disappointed in performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this toaster due to KitchenAid's reputation and design (2 slice). It's good looking. Disappointed in the performance. It's takes almost 3 minutes to make a piece of toast. (I should have heeded on line reviews). After explaining and sending video to customer service person, a replacement was authorized. I did receive a replacement and returned the original. However, after a few times using, the elements did not turn red again. I can only say do not buy this two slice toaster. I'm not sure I'll go through the hassle of returning again. Looking for something different.

My Experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toaster works as expected, although I have an issue with the latching mechanism when the lever is depressed. Unless I apply additional pressure at the bottom of its path, it will not stay depressed. Also, the lever mechanism itself seems rather flimsy, which is why I'm concerned with applying additional pressure; I don't want to break it.
