Hamilton Beach Modern Chrome 2-Slice Toaster - 22785

Queried the manufacturer about safety because I don't see the UL Label on this toaster. Pkg insert that says read this before use cautions to unplug when not in use. They never responded, and a similar query here was deleted. As I expect this comment may be as well. Will return the toaster. The ratings are made up because I never plugged it in.

This toaster does not toast evenly. One side toasts but the other doesn't. The company sent a replacement unit which had the same issue AND the lever on that was broken. The company then started ignoring my emails. So now I have 2 broken toasters.

Its very easy to use and you can adjust the temperature very easily. Perfect when you're on the go. It also doesnt take up counter space and stores perfectly too in my pantry.

It would be best for a small household . The defrost button is great. The frozen items don't come out soggy. The crumb tray is in a good spot in the back instead of underneath so it's easier to clean. I really like this toaster.

I love that it DOES NOT burn the bread or whatever you place on it , it’s easy to use since it comes with a little container on the button for any trash!

It's convenient that the exterior remains cool, as we don't leave the toaster out and need to store it on a shelf after use. Items of any size can be easily removed without the risk of burning your fingers, which is a significant improvement over our previous compact toaster. The high-lift toast boost feature is helpful for retrieving small items without tongs. The cord is longer than our last toaster, although the cord wrap placement at the bottom is not ideal. The slide-out crumb tray is handy but doesn't catch all crumbs due to the narrow slots at the bottom of the toaster, which isn't a major issue. In terms of improvements, I would suggest a design update. The buttons, which light up when pressed, are aesthetically pleasing but awkwardly placed for reading and pressing. The control knob used to have a red indicator dot, as depicted on the box, but it has been replaced with a gray dot that is hard to distinguish. Despite these points, we are pleased with the toaster and use it almost daily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this Hamilton Beach Modern Stainless Steel 2-slice Toaster. This toaster looks great in any kitchen. It's not a fancy toaster by any means but it does what you need it to do and that is toast bread & bagels! It has a setting specifically for bagels which toasts the inside more than the outside so it doesn't get too hard. It also has a defrost setting for frozen foods like waffles. Overall, I'm very happy with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good toaster you can fit a bagel in it as well as thick bread like texas toast. And you have a tray on the opposite end to get rid of the crumbs. The knob to control the level is a bit hard to get use to at first you need practice. With stainless steel this gets dirty fast you see everyones finger prints or marks so to me it’s annoying.

I also loved that setting it to not over toast was super easy and worked precisely to how I like a bagel. This toaster is extremely easy to use and fits precut bagels perfectly.

I also love the defrost feature since I do a lot of waffles when my grandkids come over. It is simple yet fancy enough that it does more than just regular toast. While it may be aesthetically pleasing; it does seem to toast a little unevenly, but a little flip and it was alright. It's obviously not too bad since my daughter hijacked my new little toaster to take with her to her apartment!

My favorite feature of this toaster is I can put something small like a toaster strudel in and it doesn't get stuck like my old toaster.
