Q: Can the display remember or keep displaying the measured weight after we remove the item on top of the scale? Sometimes the things we weigh might be bulky and obscure the direct view of the display.

A: No, but if you press Tare it will show up as the negative weight of the item.

For bulky stuff, I put a paper plate on the scale, tare it out, then add the item, or some of the item, and keep an eye on the weight. I'll get the weight up to 2 or 3lbs and then remove the items and add more. The glass plate area is small. It works well for what I use it for: weighing food, cooked meat or veggies, or even dry like grains, or even a frozen bag of chicken bones. It also works well to weigh letters or small packages for mailing.

No decimals
This works great, but my biggest qualm is that the grams setting does not show decimal places. Something can be 3.9 grams and it will just show 3, until you add enough that it goes over 4. If you don’t need precise measurements, this will be fine, but if you care about the decimal, find another food scale.

I’ve had this scale for over 6 years and I’ve never had an issue with it now after 6 years the glass on top have detached which it still works but I’m trying to replace it before it falls and break. But budget friendly scale and last a long time.

Excellent Little Scale
Are you working on portions or WW slide style changes? This is the EASIEST food scale I’ve used. Honestly, owning this has helped with my health and helped me to lose weight. It’s way more useful than i though it would be — the quality and ease of use is excellent.

I did a test. Place 3 gram salt on the scale and then remove half of the salt, it still shows 3 gram.

Awful for me
I purchased this from the good reviews, however my experience with it has been less than good. The scale isn’t sensitive enough to pick up on things I add it and will stay at zero. I have to restart and tare off and all of that 5 times in order to weigh my food. I changed to new batteries too. It’s frustrating as it shouldn’t take me that many tries to measure my food. I would just invest in slightly higher price or better designs

I use this to measure out food for my cats and dog, it works great! I zero it out after putting the bowl on top to get an accurate reading of the food's weight. One con - it turns off fairly quickly if you're not steadily using it. It's just a little annoying when I'm busy with food and have to turn it on with dirty hands. This also should not be washed, I just wipe it down with a paper cloth sprayed with cleaner.
