I've been using the NYX Shine Killer for a few weeks now and I'm really impressed! I live in a warm, humid climate, and this primer really helps to keep my face matte throughout the day. It goes on smooth, feels super lightweight, and doesn’t clog my pores. I usually apply it before my foundation, and it makes my makeup last longer without that oily shine creeping in by midday. It's also great for no-makeup days just to control excess oil. Only reason I gave it 4.5 instead of 5 is because it doesn’t completely erase shine all day long — but it’s still one of the best mattifying primers I’ve used for the price! 💖 Definitely recommend for anyone with oily or combination skin!

The texture is lightweight, almost like a gel, and it applies smoothly. I only need a small amount — about a pea-sized drop — to cover my T-zone, and I let it set for a minute before applying foundation. It instantly mattifies the skin, and I’ve noticed my makeup tends to last longer throughout the day with less blotting required. One thing I appreciate is that it doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts, which is a huge plus for me. However, if I apply too much or skip moisturizer underneath, my foundation can settle oddly or look patchy. Also, if your skin is extremely oily, you may still need to touch up midday.

I haven’t personally used NYX Shine Killer but, my daughter does. She loves this product because it’s a primer and it also is a shine killer. She uses this when she wants to kill that glowy look. Especially when she’s wearing a matte foundation. It’s also reasonable priced.

I had high hopes for this “matte” primer, it did not help my oily skin. Not my fav from them but the price was a plus. The product was basically unscented so that’s another plus.
