A: Thanks for your inquiry, Jimmy. The layer that forms on top of each brewed coffee is a combination of coffee and air called the crema and is naturally created during the extraction process. Crema is a sign of high-quality coffee and has been a signature feature of our espresso. It does not contain any dairy or additives and will gradually subside as you enjoy your coffee. A: Thanks for your inquiry, Jamie. It is normal for all Nespresso machines to make some noise during operation. Please keep in mind the following factors that may be contributing to the noise: • New machines with brand new pumps will produce less noise over time. • If operating without water in the tank, the pump will be louder. • A capsule in the capsule chamber will dampen the noise of the pump. • The machine should be stable, with four rubber feet on the bottom. If any rubber feet are missing, it may cause an abnormal vibration. • The ideal surface for the machine should be solid and flat such as hard wood or a granite countertop.
