This thermometer is compact in size, folds away for convenient storage, and has a built in carrying hole. The small size is perfect to take along for grilling, tailgating, or vacations. The thermometer has a wide temperature range of -40° F to 450° F (-40° C to 230° C) that can be read on the large 0.7” LCD readout. The thermometer comes with an ON/OFF button on the back of the unit along side the C/F switch. The thermometer runs on one LR44 battery (included).

Helpful hints: Digital thermometers are not meant to be left in food during cooking. The plastic and electronic components could be damaged with excessive heat.

Accurate to within one degree in the ice/boiling water test. Just be careful when cleaning it. Don't submerge any electronic thermometer under water or in a dishwasher. Use a sponge or damp paper towel to clean it and don't use it as an ice pick. Mine has lasted just like the other BBQ probes I own....see moreof the reviewer's review

I think I can still use it, but the stem broke the 2nd time I used it while trying to bend the stem back into storage position. I was very disappointed. Glad I got this on sale!
