Replacing as soon as I can!
Well, technically it did toast, there are just so many frustrating things about it. Each time you toast, you have to turn the dial --it's near impossible to remember what today seeing you liked--between the third and fourth notches? So it's really easy to burn. For some reason this is in both French and English (doesn't make a ton of sense in the US), which makes the words really hard to read. Looking forward to replacing this.

We dudnt like anything about it.
Way too much involved to use. There’s a hard to turn dial / timer that you use virtually on all settings. And the metal pan slides in on rails on the underside of the metal wire rack - basically it’s a drip pan. Sure, it can go on top of the rack as a backing pan but it’s about 75% the size of the wire rack. We tried using this toaster oven a few times and just gave up.

I had a older version of this that I am replacing because the wiring went bad in it (it lasted several years). The knobs on this new one are much nicer, however they didn't get rid of having to turn the timer past 10 and then back to desired toasting time. I'm a little disappointed in this one for a few reasons: 1. the crumb tray at the bottom doesn't fit well 2. there are no protections over the heating elements inside; 3. the spacer on the back for keeping the oven a good distance from the wall is a small round peg versus the two larger U-shaped spacers that were on the previous version.

I purchased this for Mom to make her life a little easier when she cooks a small meal. Unfortunately, the quality isn't what I expected for the price and the exterior handle gets so hot that she has to use an oven glove to open the unit.

I wish companies would be honest saying it's a 6 slices clearly it's not. I purchased this based on that because I needed a bigger over that has the room. I'm now looking for another toaster oven and will have to go through the hassle of returning this because of false description.

Disappointing
I wanted to love this toaster oven. When I first got it I used my oven thermometer to check the temperature at various intervals. This toaster oven seems to run hot up until about 400° f I needed a reliable toaster so I expected this toaster oven to to do a good job at toasting. If you want to burn up a piece of toast just set it up above four or five.

Bought for my parents
This is a basic toaster oven, which is what I wanted for my elderly parents. Something simple and easy. They wanted a 6 slice. This toaster oven is very small. More a 4 slice than a 6. But, it is what it is and I'm not sending it back. I think they should make these dials a little easier to turn. Older people just don't have the strength to turn the knobs!

Great little oven but very noisy
This is my 2nd purchase of this same toaster oven. My last one lasted nearly five years. It's a great little oven and the footprint (size) is perfect for my smaller countertop. It functions as it should in all modes. My only complaint is that it is very noisy, especially so when it's turned off. For a good hour or so it will make popping sounds as though the metal is expanding (or contracting?) as it cools down, even if I unplug it. It does this while in use but not as much. My first purchase of this oven did not do this, it was very quiet.

My last one was a 4 slicer, which I had for many years. easy to use, so when I finally needed to get a new toaster, I decided to get a 6 slicer, because I only use it, & not my big oven at all, & wanted to be able to use larger recipes in it! The only thing I don't like is the turn knob for toast, now that I'm 78 & handicapped it's hard to turn, but I'm getting use to it!

I just love this Toaster Oven. I am so glad I got this one than something that is $200 or something that's cheaper. Originally I was going to splurge but thesedays, the high end brands malfunction just as bad, since nothing is made in the USA anymore. Right out of ths box this toaster oven made the best toast I've had in a long time. I bake bread and it doesn't always fit in a regular toaster. No problem now! I have a gas oven and stove and I got this to save $$ in this time of high gas supply prices. The only con I can see is it makes great homemade pizza, that means I had pizza for dinner 3 times in one week, I'll never get my real pants on! It could use an interior light but nbd.

The tray waqrps every time you heat the oven so any liquid or juices are running in whichever random direction to decides to warp. Also make for uneven cooking, as I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to cook things on a vertical diagonal. The tray is just cheap, so Black and Decker basically ruined a good oven to save the few cents it would have cost to provide a quality tray.
