I like how the lid is able to be secured shut and simplicity of heat settings without the screen. But, this crockpot takes longer than usual to cook food. This is my first time using a Hamilton brand. My previous crockpots cooked food faster.

Replacement
I have had this same product for 14 years and been pleased with it’s usefulness and performance, but recently broke the ceramic crock. The new one does not have a light to show it is on, and part of the mechanism that opens the metal lid clips has been down graded to plastic. I hope cooking efficiency and performance remains the same.

Cheaply made?!
It’s not very sturdy. If you try to shred chicken the whole thing moves all over the counter! Doesn’t feel safe. I’m going to see if I can add some rubber feet to it. The latch is also tricky and feels like it could break. Disappointed because it was replacing the same brand from 15 years ago that worked so well!

I love the travel lid, and the size. . However, it does not have an On/Off light Why? This is my 3rd Hamilton Beach crock pot, I have always liked them. But why would you not put an On/Off light on them anymore? So you burn your hand checking if it is on???

It’s basically what I’ve been waiting for all my life when it comes to potlucks, I can carry it with me, easy to carry since it has handles. The lid makes it also perfect because there is no risk of it spilling in your car and making a big mess. I cooked a whole chicken in it for thanksgiving and do not regret using it because it came out very juicy and tender. My friends were amazed with my slow cooker they want to buy one too. It is very easy to clean since it has a removable pot. It’s been about 6 years that I’ve tried different slow cookers and by far I can say this one is the best. I totally recommend it to anyone who wants to pay for something that will be worth your money.
