Cuisinart 6-in-1 Slushy & Soft Serve Maker ICE-200

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high expectations for this machine , specially for the soft serve ice cream option but it was rather disappointing. I followed all of instructions but the ice cream came out too soft which could not stand in a cone amd just drip. If you don't want to put it in a cone I guess it's fine. Also after making the ice cream, the cleaning side of this machine is lengthy and not easy.

This Cusinart 6 in 1soft serve & slushy maker does exactly what it says. I made soft serve ice cream that was the hit of my childrens party they loved making it themselves then dispensing it like at Dairy Queen. The ice cream was very soft set but I plan to experiment with other recipes for ice cream now that I own a machine. We also tried a watermelon slushy not from fresh watermelon because it's not in season but I bought a carton of watermelon juice and poured it right in. A short time later we all enjoyed delicious watermelon slushies. Im looking forward to making milkshakes too just haven't had the chance yet. The cleaning cycle is very easy to run I just drained it straight into the sink then ran clean water thru the machine until the water looked clean. I hand washed the other parts then dried and reassembled it. Don't forget to check the seal because I didn't and as a result some of my watermelon slushy juice ran out onto my counter top.Overall a great fun machine we love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gets 5 stars despite its short comings. It makes really great ice cream. It wasn’t grainy and it was the quality I would expect from a professional ice cream shop. It was a little melty when we poured it directly after the beeps that it was ready but after letting in cool in the machine it was more firm and I imagine letting it chill in the fridge would make it perfect for ice cream cones. The slushies and frozen yogurt also turned out perfectly and the recipes provided in the instruction booklet were very tasty. This machine is SO easy to use and clean which certainly makes up for the softer ice cream. Preparing the mixes takes one bowl and a couple measuring cups and matter of minutes, the provided funnel makes getting the mix into the machine simple. Cleaning takes me less then 5 minutes and was the one thing I was worried about. I would reccomend this machine to anyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved experimenting with this 6-in-1 slushy and soft serve machine! We have tried nearly all of the settings at this point. Our favorite is the slushy setting. We had slushies going for a family party and everyone was talking about how cool it was to have this machine. Everyone found that the dispenser handle was easy to use, both adults and kids. In my opinion, since I was the one assembling and cleaning the product between uses, the only negative I have found is that it's pretty hard sometimes to get it unlocked and the handle off to clean. I had the feeling like it was going to snap off every time. We are still perfecting our soft serve recipe but so far everything else has been a hit! It is good looking too for our countertop.

One of the best things about it has to be that there is no freezing time. It saves not only time and effort, but dishes and hassle. We have made slushies, sorbet, ice cream, and frappes. No matter what you're making it's so low effort and turns out great. Especially with impatient littles, this has been a game changer! Summer is going to be lit with this! Perfect for adults and company too, as it's able to whip up drinks. When done it comes apart so easily and I can run all parts that need through the dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is fairly simple to use, it would have been nice if a instruction manual had been included in the box to use when assembling and using for first time, it can be downloaded but the laptop on the counter takes up valuable space! Slushy turned out great, very easy and tasty. Ice cream will take a few times to get the consistency right, like many others have said it comes out to soft more like a milk shake, I will however keep trying. Easy to clean and put back together. Very sturdy but quite heavy. Takes up a lot of cabinet space so be aware before you purchase. Overall, a fun thing to have and the kids love having options on treats and adults to! Great frozen cocktails!!

There are several recipes available online to try on. We also tried the soft serve which was tasty and a good option to put in a bowl.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I were SO excited to receive this slushy machine! First we made frozen lemonade slushees. They were so delicious and really easy to make. We just bought simply lemonade and poured that in. It took less than 10 minutes to freeze up allowing us to dispense pretty quickly. I really love how quiet it is. We struggled trying to make soft serve ice cream however so that is why I only gave it 4 stars. We let it run through 2 cycles and it was still like soup. Overall it is decently easy to clean but I wish there was a part of the inside that would come out and could be put in the dishwasher. Really looking forward to summer so we can make lots of slushees.

soft serve is to soft for cones tried a couple times

Bought this as an Xmas gift for family. After making ice cream 3 times, following the recipes in the book and some slight modifications, consensus is "Ice Cream" is more milk shake consistency than "Soft Serve". Flavors are great, it's not icy, but it's rather soupy. Half hour to an hour in the freezer hits the right texture. Also have made Frappes, which turned out fantastic and if anything, a touch too thick.

Fun slushy maker. Works well with several choices for firmness.

Keeping this as a slushie maker only. The ice cream is either still runny or a frozen block.

This machine works great although it had 3 minor flaws. The dispenser cover easily falls off while dispensing ice cream, the the star shaped soft serve guide comes loose easily and should be able to be locked in place during dispensing, and the cover lid comes off easily. It should snap shut securely. These issues are not something you would expect from Cuisinart.

The only problem with this machine was the amount of frozen margs we indulged in over Chrissy & NY! The slushies were also a huge hit with the kids....when they could get the machine away from the adults! :)

Works wonderfully. It is quick and efficient. The slushies are frozen to perfection. I love being able to choose the consistency of the freeze, not too hard and not too soft.

Love it. Unlike the competitors this actually has a compressor and you don't need to freeze your bowl the night before. Pretty compact size, easy to freeze. Only thing keeping it from being perfect is soft serve is a touch "too soft" and could freeze better. No problem overall, but it's just a bit mushier than perfect.

So far so good, big hit in our house. Have only used it for soft serve ice cream, which can be put in freezer as well after making cones - everyone loves it.
