Does Not Smell Like Lavender

Who decided this scent is lavender? It smells just like the Tide Zero lavender and the Gain white tea and lavender scent. They are sweet smelling and almost candy like, but definitely nothing like lavender. The detergent works fine and feels like it rinses clean, but I definitely won’t be purchasing this in the future because of the smell.

Love the product, hate the price jump! Clean, not too strong but fresh scent. Cleans clothes well and they’ve lasted a long time too. No rashes, breakouts, or eczema. Newer washing machine and it’s had no issues with it. I wish we could go back to $15, though, because that seemed much more reasonable for this low tox product.

Pickle scented clothes!!

Clothing smells of vinegar not lavender after washing. Ingredients looked great but product does not deliver. Only buy if you want to smell like pickles!

To remove odor: - Rewash with the hottest water safe for the fabric, using the recommended amount of detergent and fabric softener. - One cup of vinegar can be added to wash, if not bleach safe. - Be sure to check owner’s manual on how to clean out machine or do service wash on machine. - The heat from the dryer may help remove excess perfume from clothes, potentially leading to better solutions for consumers concerned about strong garment odors. Our detergents are designed to remove and suspend dirt effectively, with powders best for outdoor stains and liquids for greasy dirt. For optimal results, follow fabric care labels, use the hottest safe water, sort clothes properly, pre-treat stains, avoid overloading the washer, use the right detergent amount based on load and water hardness, and choose gentle cycles only when recommended. Ruined Wash Machine

I always buy this brand but this time there was something wrong with the concentrate and it has ruined our washer and we can’t get the bubbles out. Infuriating.

We appreciate you providing us with this feedback, but this is definitely not the type of experience we want you to go through. None of our detergents cause excess suds when used as directed. If suds remain on clothes, scoop them out and run a cold rinse cycle. For suds overflowing from the machine, add 1 cup of vinegar and rinse (but don’t use vinegar routinely as it may damage the machine). Excess suds often result from using too much detergent or too many pods, overloading the washer, or using regular detergent in an HE washer. Build-up of detergent and minerals can occur in washers, especially with frequent cold-water use; Tide Washing Machine Cleaner can help remove this every six months. For further cleaning help, contact your washing machine manufacturer. Please feel free to contact us at (877-267-0514) so we can learn more about this situation and take care of you. overpowering

I was hopeful for this detergent based on some of the reveiws, but I have to agree with the other ones that say the scent is way overpowering. I've been looking for an organic/natural lavdender detergent to replace an organic brand I've been using for years that was recently discontinued, but sadly this is not it. My husband and I both did separate loads of laundry with this detergent, and we could not believe how powerful the perfume scent is. Also, two of the shirts got really bad stains or bleeding when using this detergent; we're not sure if it's from the detergent or not, but it's never happened before. My nose has been stuffy, throat itchy, and our whole house smells like it, so I don't think it's as natural as its advertised to be. Sadly, we're not going to be able to use anymore of the bottle :(
