A: Yes, it works better on hard flooring (wood, tile, etc), although it does work on short pile carpet/rugs. This is due to the bristle roller. My mom also has a Dyson stick vacuum, but hers came with 2 different bristle rollers, specifically each for hard floor or carpet/rugs. Sorry, I can't recall the model.

A: No, you cannot. It won't attach properly, plus might interfere with the tiny roller wheels.
It works well only on boost mode and so the battery power drains very quickly. The charging also takes a while

Lightweight, easy to use, but not that powerful.
Excellent filtration, very lightweight, great quick on/off trigger button, superb built quality. Unfortunately weak suction at its default eco mode (which is the mode the vacuum will always start at), and even at high power mode, suction is just OK, despite being very noisy. I wish there was an option to force it to start at high power mode by default. It's good, but not amazing.

Wet/dry cleaning problems solved
Purchased to replace a decade old earlier cordless model. The ability to choose suction levels vs. run time is great! Let’s me hit the travel paths to greater effect. The submarine head is so ridiculously easy to use. Only requires same movement and rhythm as simply dry vacuuming. The solution tank will appear too small but the machine meters it out very effectively to let you wash a far larger area than you would think possible. Very happy with this machine/purchase.

This is the worst purchase i have ever made. To get a decent level of suction, i have to use the top power setting, this reduces the battery to 10 minutes, that means i have to charge it before wet mopping the floor. the unit feels cheap, the wand bends. I have to bang the unit so hard to get all the debris out of the canister. When Dyson sent thjis review, it tells me i have a 'Refurbished' machine - not what i paid for. I will never buy Dyson again,

Broken after 9 months of moderate use. This is one of my 3 vacuums (I use it primarily for the first floor hard floors). The plastic is thin and as my picture shows it snapped at the handle. Suction is decent but not as good as my 2 cheaper vacuums. I had wanted one of these for years-too bad!

I love this brand ! But what I didn't like about this model! There's only one filter! And if it is clogged, you get an alert on the display screen - the filter is dirty - rinse and dry for the next 24 hours! This means that you have washed the filter and wait so long for the next cleaning! How could this be solved?! Immediately put a second spare filter in the box for the customer! But the third filter can be purchased in the online store or in retail!

Not worth it
I bought this for the wet and dry but it can't handle larger dirt particles on the floor, I have to sweep first which is really frustrating. The wet part is messy to change and pretty disgusting to touch. I mostly now just use it as a vacuum, but its too weak to do the usual daily vacuum unless I sweep first, it just moves the dirt around on the floor. I've wanted a dyson for a long time, and after this experience think its really not worth the money. My cheap regular vaccum I had before did a much better job.

Replacing another Dyson which was an older model and I’d let you know that this model has been the best we’ve ever bought!! The battery life is so much better, the suction and lightness of this model has been fantastic. Have not used the mop part yet and Im hoping that it’s great as well.

Bought this to use as a mop. The demonstration was very good at the Dyson showroom and the machine has performed to expectations. It also performs well as a vacuum within its limitations. We also own a full size Dyson vac. The small vac head performed quite well on carpeted stairs, although I think the small head with counter rotating brushes on the full size model does that job better.

The great suction and ease to operate
This dyson is my second one for myself. I love my dysons. My first dyson is 11 years old now and still going strong. It is the downstairs dysin now. I have over the years bought my 2 daughters and my step daughter each one. And they all love their Dyson. My stepdaughter has a husband who is wheel chair bond with minimal arm strength and he can do the vacuuming from his chair with one hand and operate the wheel trail controls withe his other hand. It is the only task he can assist with. He loves doing the vacuuming. He is now on his 2nd one and the first one is the basement vacuum. The newer one is definitely a lighter one which is perfect for him. So it easy to say I will always own a dyson vacuum as well as the family members I purchased one for.
