Not in Love 😕
Bought a couple weeks ago, suction is fantastic! But still not a fan of holding the trigger down, tells me almost use to wash the filter (it's still clean) and then let it dry for 24 hrs! I need to use it every day Last, the button to release the body from the tube is so stiff I have to put my foot on the thing to pull it loose to change attachments!

Slim vacuum is heavy
I like to use the slim vacuum with an attachment to clean my carpeted stairs and tight places. However it was heavy and difficult to maneuver. But the roller to clean the floor and carpet worked well.

Great features
Suction and maneuverability are definitely a big improvement over the vacuum cleaner that I have been using. I also love that I no longer need to worry about tripping over the cord while I’m vacuuming! I do believe after just a couple of weeks, my carpeting looks better. That was a bonus that I hadn’t thought about!

Hard to remove dirt cup
I should have bought a better model. Too light doń´t clean an as well as my older Dyson. Am thinking of sending back and go up a model or 2. is that possible?

I bought the V9 two weeks ago and have been happy with it overall. It’s very lightweight and surprisingly quiet. The battery only lasts about 20–30 minutes, but that hasn’t been a problem for me since I mainly use it in the bedroom suites. It’s convenient and easy to handle for light cleaning. One thing to note is that the “submarine” function is basically just a wet mop, so don’t expect deep scrubbing. I understand that it is a trade-off for the lightweight, so I give it 5 stars.

Very useful
I’ve had this model for about 2 weeks, great suction, great attachments, the 3 settings and time remaining feature really helps. I “mopped” my floors on the weekend and it did a pretty good job considering I hadn’t don them for about a month. Some things I had to go over a few times this is where I think as outer element to the roller would be beneficial perhaps thin line spiraled around the roller just for those stubborn stains but nothing too course. The only thing I’ve never really liked about owning a Dyson stick vac is the curved trigger switch which I find to be too small for my finger. I think a rubber coating would help with this as well as having a lock on / off switch so you’re not constantly having to hold it in. This can be uncomfortable after a while. Other than that it’s a quality product and recommend it.

Very pleased
I am very pleased, light weight, keeps a charge for a long time, and breaks down to a hand held vacuum with one click. Works great on my stairs. I got rid of 3 vacuums! This one does it better than all of them. My daughter in-law recommended this vacuum and I do asl well.

LOVE my Dyson vacuums!
We replaced our very old Dyson stick vacuum of many years, because the replacement ion battery is no longer available for that very old model. But we had many, many years of reliable, great vacuuming abilities from the old one! Now, we have our new Dyson stick vacuum - and love it even more! It is lighter and amazingly, ergonomically easy to handle. I absolutely l o v e the dependability and reliability and the actual suction ability of the Dyson vacuums! I still have a working Dyson upright that I purchased back in 2005! It works perfectly, still ( I use it for bigger jobs.) I highly recommend a Dyson vacuum to anyone. They are worth the money, and you will never want another brand again, once you’ve had a Dyson! Linda Y Florida

Great with some issues
We bought the submarine as we have engineered hardwood and rugs in our home and have always found Dyson vacuums to be the best. The vacuum works great; picks up an amazing amount of dirt and pet hair. One feature we don't like, however, is that in order to empty the canister, the vacuum stick has to be detached. We find it difficult to do; it doesn't detach easily so given we typically have to empty once or twice each time, it's not ideal. As for the mopping function, yes, it is easy to use and will remove some remaining dirts or spills. Previous to the submarine, we used swiffers which are not the easiest but fairly effective. I can see that the mop picks up dirt and certainly the floor is cleaner, but it's not going to apply pressure to remove anything stuck on. We ran the submarine and then used a swiffer and found the swiffer still picked up remaining dirt (e.g. the floor was not as clean as I would have hoped.)

Nice filter and good suction
I like the way Dyson filters out the smaller allergens and it has good suction. The trigger hurts my index finger and the extension is difficult to remove so I can empty the debris chamber. Also chamber fills up so quickly I have to empty it at least 4-5 times when vacuuming my 980 sq ft house. I vacuum daily since I share my home with 3 cats and a dog.

Too small
I bought this Dyson to replace one that I’ve used almost daily for years, it works well, it’s quieter than my previous V10 Dyson, but the collection cup is too small, it holds a quarter of what my V10 did. I will probably put this V9 in my Motorhome, it’s just not practical for a home with a pet.

some good features, but suction isn't the best
I love the lightness and how easy it is to maneuvre with the swivel head. Unfortunately the suction isn't as good as it could be and when I pull the vac back dirt that was sucked up falls back on the floor and it takes several attempts to pick it all up again. Perhaps there is a trick to the vacuuming technique, but there should not be such difficulties with a machine that costs so much.

Best Vacuum System for the Price
I had a Dyson 8 before my last apartment burned in the Palisades fire. I purchased other household items to clean floors and other surfaces, but the Dyson 9’has every functional attachments I will ever need, with great suction to tackle all my dusty windowsills and floorboards. I can also use the smaller version to vacuum my car. The is the best cleaning device I’ve used. And the battery lasts long enough to clean all surfaces at once. And the main barrel of the vacuum is easy to release and dump out the dust and hair. It also charges fast. I love it. The suction is strong for this type of vacuum. And it’s ergonomically designed, colorful and easy to use. It’s perfect for me.

The vacuum is wonderful. The battery however is another story. It only stays charged for about 45 minutes. If I had a big house with lots of carpeting it would take days to get it done.
