  • A: Yes, it works better on hard flooring (wood, tile, etc), although it does work on short pile carpet/rugs. This is due to the bristle roller. My mom also has a Dyson stick vacuum, but hers came with 2 different bristle rollers, specifically each for hard floor or carpet/rugs. Sorry, I can't recall the model.

The great suction and ease to operate

This dyson is my second one for myself. I love my dysons. My first dyson is 11 years old now and still going strong. It is the downstairs dysin now. I have over the years bought my 2 daughters and my step daughter each one. And they all love their Dyson. My stepdaughter has a husband who is wheel chair bond with minimal arm strength and he can do the vacuuming from his chair with one hand and operate the wheel trail controls withe his other hand. It is the only task he can assist with. He loves doing the vacuuming. He is now on his 2nd one and the first one is the basement vacuum. The newer one is definitely a lighter one which is perfect for him. So it easy to say I will always own a dyson vacuum as well as the family members I purchased one for.

Versatile light duster and vacumn mop

I bought the V9 a month ago. It is truly a lighweight and handy vacuum for quick fine dusting of small surfaces, ie TV, consoles, shelves, soft toys and electronic items etc. I am very pleased with the V9 suction power and pivoting head for floor cleaning. The wet roller head mops well, but both head and waste tray are fiddly to clean. Preferably the waste tray should be fully enclosed for pull- out disposal of dirt and water.

I am impressed with the wet mop - it does a very acceptable job. The vacuum is about the same as my previous V8 except it reaches under furniture better and lasts longer on a charge.

Honestly review

This is my third Dyson stick vacuum, and I also own a regular Dyson vacuum. Compared to my previous Dyson stick vacuums, here’s what I like and don’t like about this one. What I like: * The vacuum head doesn’t get hair wrapped around it, and it seems to pick up larger pieces of debris much better. * The digital battery life indicator lets you know exactly how much time is left before it needs to be recharged. * It comes with all the attachments you could possibly need, so there’s no need to purchase additional tools. What I don’t like: * Emptying the canister is more complicated than on my previous models because you have to remove the main wand first. It takes more time, and the design makes me feel like the canister could be damaged more easily. * The main wand feels lower quality than the ones on my previous Dyson vacuums. It’s thinner and feels cheaper, making me wonder if it will wear out or break sooner. Overall, I still like the vacuum, but I think some of the design changes are a step backward compared to my previous Dyson stick vacuums.

I returned this. A part fell out when I opened it and would not back together.

GREAT FEATURES

I purchased mine approximately. I’m one month ago in the first place I did was use it in my bedroom. I am a cancer survivor and has lost all my hair. It came back curly but then recently I started losing hair again and there was a lot that you couldn’t see on the floor so when I use my vacuum for the first time I t picked up a lot of hair. it did a wonderful job. I love that it’s very lightweight and get the job done. the suction is wonderful. The only regret I have is that I did not yet the parts so I could hang on the wall

Not happy

I actually returned this 11 days ago,called to ask for help on using it and was told iam better off watching the video ,called again and was told they were very busy ,so in frustration I rang and ask to return it ,I still haven’t a refund so I can purchase a new different machine , I have bought many Dyson products for myself and gifts for my children .as well. I’ve always love the support from Dyson ,however this time has been my worst experience and I am totally dissatisfied with the support service !

The Dyson wet and dry stick vacuum

I bought this vac last week absolutely love it.The vac is extremely light and each component is easy to remove or add on . The suction is amazing for such a small machine, easy to charge up.

V9 works so well.

I upgraded to the V9 about a month ago and am amazed at how well it works. The suction is fantastic and it picks up so much. They have fixed the issue I had with the older model when dumping the bin. Everything empties now so easily. Great purchase. The runtime and the 3 modes work really well and the runtime is awesome.

Wouldn't buy again

The vacuum side of things is great, works like a charm. The wet leaks and doesn't do much of a thorough clean.

Not great

This vacuum doesn’t seem to pick up sand off of my wood and concrete floors while on “eco” mode. I have to clean the filter almost every time I vacuum, then need to wait 24 hrs for filter to dry. The mopping attachment is unwieldy and doesn’t remove anything but the easiest spots. Has to be cleaned out often, I rarely bother to use it, choosing to use mop instead.

Fantastic machine!

I bought this cordless stick vacuum to replace our old Dyson pet ball style vacuum and I can honestly say that I am impressed by the power this thing has. It has great suction and that's on eco mode. There are 3 settings for suction with turbo being the 3rd( should be called beast mode). The battery life is great keeping in mind that the higher the suction setting the faster the charge is drained. I am in love with the hair screw tool attachment, it is amazing on pet hair. It is light weight and easy to clean. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars is because I wish the canister was larger so it would hold more debris.
