Q: Does the pump leaks ?

submitted by Luz solorzano - 5 months ago
  • A: Willow Go® offers great mobility while you pump, but it's not completely leak-proof in any position. The pump fits totally in your bra with no dangling cords, tubes, or bottles. You may notice some leaking if you move around while you pump - for example, if you bend far forward or lean far back. It all depends on how full your containers are, how much you're moving, and where the pump sits on your body. If you need true leak-proof mobility while you pump, we recommend you purchase Willow 360 and use our spill-proof milk bags.

Q: What is the difference between this Willow pump and the other Willow hands free pump?

submitted by LM - 7 months ago
  • A: Our site offers a comparison page to help you understand the differences between the pumps - we recommend you check this out to learn more! Both pumps fit entirely in your bra, with no dangling cords, tubes, or bottles. The most major differences are range of mobility & suction type - Willow 360™ uses a constant suction, (think about how baby latches) is totally leak-proof when you pump with our milk bags, and wide range of mobility with our milk containers. Willow Go® uses a tug and release type of suction, similar to a traditional wall pump, and lets you pump totally hands-free and untethered, but isn't totally leak-proof (especially if you're leaning far forward or back). Willow 360 lets you choose between spill-proof milk bags (no need to transfer - you can pump and store milk in the same bag) or reusable containers, while Willow Go offers reusable containers only. Both pumps are app connected, but Willow 360 has more smart features - for example, it tracks your volume in real time and automatically records your session history and connects to Apple Watch. Willow 360 holds up to 4 oz per pump, while Willow Go holds 5 or 7oz (7 oz containers sold separately). Also included only with a Willow 360™ pump purchase, Moms have access to our 360 Care, where you can book a virtual session with a Mom Coach to get up to speed on assembly, sizing, positioning, and bra fit. The program also offers access to expert-backed articles and videos to help set you up for success!

    Disappointed

I was really excited for my Willow pump since I read great reviews online, however I am very disappointed. To start, I cannot connect to the app which was a major reason I purchased the pump. To be able to track. No matter what I try the app says my Bluetooth is not turned on. Not being able to connect to the app I can’t see the settings which makes it difficult to pump. Another reason I’m disappointed with the pump is that almost every other time I pump the suction stops working on the pumps and I have to stop pumping and reconnect all the parts, even when they were correctly assembled to begin with. Again, for the money and only using the pump for 2 weeks I expect no issues. It’s really a shame because when it works properly I do like the pump. I’ve previously used the momcozy hands free pumps and wish I had purchased those again instead of spending my money on these.

    Stopped working in 3 days!!!!

Stopped working after 3 days! I have a newborn and have depended heavily on this the past few days. All of a sudden one stops charging. Now I I have only one working pump. This is gonna mess up my milk supply. Was convenient when it worked. Now a huge waste. Took forever to setup and the app is slow as can be. Now I gotta go to the store and find an alternative which is beyond inconvenient with a newborn.

    Best pump ever

This is the best pump I’ve ever had and this is my 4th child. I’ve always despised pumping because it was time consuming, uncomfortable, and hard to keep clean. If I would’ve had this pump in my past postpartum experiences I definitely would’ve made it pumping longer. I don’t have to hold on to it while I’m working or cleaning. It’s very quiet, but it does of course produce noise. It’s cordless, and soooo easy to clean.

    The clicking of death

I really wanted to like this pump because it’s very comfortable. HOWEVER!!! This has been a giant pain in the butt. From not being user friendly with the app (couldn’t even recognize the pumps). So I’ve used this for about 2-3 weeks and the motor bust on both of them. It took a week and it started to intermittently suction, then now just fully doesn’t work. All I get is that annoying click but no suction. Just disappointed really. A manual pump works much better than this. I had very high hopes for this and just led to disappointment.

    The worst best product.

To start with the good. I loved the fit and how slim and comfortable it was. The bad. I’ve only been pumping for 5 months and am on my 3 pump, which I’ve totally given up on. I’ve resorted to hand pumping because I can’t use my wearables anymore because they don’t work and it’s to expensive to get a different brand. When they worked they were the best pumps but it’s not worth it when they die every month.

    Highly Recommend!

If you are pumping at least once a day, I would HIGHLY recommend this investment! It definitely takes 10 uses to produce as much as you would with a corded pump, but I love the ability to get things done around the house/not have cords in your way while you pump. I had the Willow 360 before this and it broke down all the time. This pump has never given me issues.

    Why are these popular?

I truly can’t figure out why these pumps are so popular on TikTok and recommended by Wirecutter. I have an older, more affordable Momcozy wearable pump that does a far superior job. I’ve only had my Willow for a couple of weeks and 1. I only successfully collect milk during the night when I’m most productive. If I use it for a daytime pump, it doesn’t collect a single drop even though my other pumps will collect at least an ounce. 2. The flanges have already started popping off the pumps and don’t stay on. 3. When they do collect milk it has not collected more than other pumps—in fact probably a little less. 4. It takes some getting used to putting the pump together. Personally I find it overly complicated compared to other wearable pumps and if you want to track how much you’re collecting in the app you need to ensure you’re matching the pump serial number with left/right pump. 5. The battery life is nothing to write home about.

    Overall, I like this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I like this product. It’s comfortable, the suction is great, it’s easy to pour out expressed milk. HOWEVER… I knew going into it that there were a lot of parts to clean, ok fine. I was not prepared for how bulky all those parts are. It’s also SUPER finicky - after using it only a week, the diaphragms stopped laying flat enough to provide the necessary suction, and now I have to spend like 10 minutes a couple times a day just messing with it to put together correctly. It’s mega frustrating. I reached out to their customer service and they were really nice, but this product wasn’t the solution I was hoping for with my wearable pumping needs.

    Customer service nightmare!

Worked great for 6 weeks. The motor then went out and getting a replacement has been the worst headache! The company has promised a new pump in 1-3 business days and it’s been three days and I still don’t have tracking. Every time I call I’m told something different and given a new timeline. Very disappointed!

    Awful pump experience

Incredibly uncomfortable - lead to bruised and blistered nipples no matter what combination of flange inserts I tried. I worked with a lactation consultant who agreed this pump was just not for me. I bought the Eufy S1 Pro and it is so much more comfortable.
