This toaster is actually flimsy!! You can push the sides in with no effort. There is very poor control for how toasted you want your bread, no bagel setting. It is the most basic of toasters.

A toaster's job is simple: toast the bread to the requested toastyness, then pop up the bread. Toasters have been doing these things more or less successully FOR 100 YEARS. This toaster doest neither. The bread burns, whether you set it on 1 or 7. The bread does not pop up. The Cancel button does not work. You have to watch the bread, then manually lift the lever back up when you think the toast might be done. Do not buy this toaster. Do NOT buy this toaster.

This 4 slice toaster is awesome, lightweight and very nice.

We got the 4-slice toaster, model 24910G. It's a no-nonsense classic. It's sturdy, has 2 numbered dials for exactness, each dial with a pop-up cancel button, and two crumb slide out trays out back. We are very happy with it, and expect it to last a long time.

Worked great for 2 months now one side doesn’t work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach 4 slice toaster is user friendly making this very easy to use and operate. The toaster has the push down slider handle feature that you utilize after placing your item in the slot you wish to toast. This could be bread, breakfast pastry, pancake, waffles or even bagels. Underneath the slider is a knob that you adjust from left to right to make your toasting item light or dark. To the right of the toasting knob there is also a cancel button if you need to stop the toasting immediately. So far, I found the toaster toasts/browns evenly in all 4 slots. We have tried cinnamon raisin bread for the hubby and he likes his raisin bread darker than I do but it toasted all slices nicely and evenly. We toasted regular bread with sane results and very happy with that. I tried my pop tarts and I basically like them just heated and it came out perfect. It has wide slots for bagels but we did not try it yet. We are not big bagel people. In the back it has an amazing feature where there is a crumb catcher slide out tray to make it easier to clean. Had this before with another toaster and I love this feature to keep inside clean and less of a problem. I would recommend this family and friends.

This toaster is nice in size and toasts quick but on each burner only one side lights up and you can either end up with one side toasted or one side burnt or darker than the other side. It's very light weight which is a concern to me because it could easily be knocked over.

I can toast two bagels at the same time with little effort. The controls are easy to use, and I've had a consistent toasting experience each time I've used it. The temperature dials make it easy to adjust toastiness of your bread or bagel. When I unboxed the unit, i did an initial burn-in of the unit to burn off any manufacturing oils or residue on the heating coils.

It’s easy to clean the crumbs by emptying the trays at the bottom. You can adjust the setting to your preference which I like, and there are two cancel buttons if you want to take your toast out before the cycle ends. Having the option to toast four slices of bread is very convenient!

It has all of the features that I was looking for, such as toasting 4 thick slices of bread at the same time, having a choice of 7 toast shades, the toast boost lever to retrieve smaller sized breads and the crumb catcher. The only concern that I had was that the toaster became hot to the touch when in use. All in all, I think that this is a great toaster that I would highly recommend.

Nons seem durable. Fits bagels too wiithout smashing them. its amazing. I highly recommend if you make alot of toast and bagels. Cords long. Is bulky since its 4 slices.

Fits our decor, ( and most likely most people's decor because of the classic black and silver design),not bulky considering it's a 4 slicer. It toasts evenly and quickly. Easy to use and clean. Fits thick homemade bread and bagels without them getting stuck. Great all around toaster.

I have been using my toaster oven to toast my bread and bagels but it takes longer to toast in toaster oven. I put bread in toaster. Used number 3 setting which is middle setting. Toast popped up in few minutes. Toast was overly brown and too crispy. Next morning I put bread in toast and used number 2 setting. Toast popped up in a few minutes. Bread was unevenly toasted. Next morning I put a bagel in toaster using setting 3. Bagel nicely toasted. I am still figuring out settings. Aside from that I do like this toaster.

Larger items such as bagels and English Muffins fit in the larger slots. It also has an "easy lift" feature to remove items from the slots to prevent using your hands to directly remove items. This toaster is also good for larger families so that you can toast more items at once.

I also like the temperature controls and the temperature of the toaster. I don't care to much for the push down handles that control the down controls because they seem to be a little flimsy. All in all the toaster is real good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this toaster. Had another Hamilton Beach toaster for years. When I needed a new one, I bought a Cuisinart because it was on sale. It is ok, but not a Hamilton Beach. I got a 4-slice Hamilton Beach 4-slice toaster and it works perfectly! Toast is evenly toasted. Slots are wide enough for bagels and English muffins. I especially like the cancel button that allows me to stop the toasting if I accidentally turn the darkness to a darker setting than I desired. I would definitely recommend this toaster and every other Hamilton Beach small appliance that I have used.

Pulling up on the handles brings the bread further out of the slots. The wide slots are great for all thicknesses of bread. Really like the slide out crumbs trays and "cancel" button. First time owning a 4 slice toaster!

I toast my bagels in it almost every morning and it comes out perfect. The bagel browns perfectly and it toasts fast. The slide out crumb tray at the bottom is great and keeps my kitchen counter clean of crumbs.
