Description

Achieve 1000% more plaque removal¹ and up to 100% healthier gums² with the Philips Sonicare 5700 Series sonic toothbrush combined with the C3 Two-in-one electric toothbrush head. Enjoy a powerful yet gentle clean, even in those hard-to-reach areas. This rechargeable toothbrush uses Next-Generation Sonicare Technology. The motor adjusts power automatically, so there is zero drop in performance when you reach those harder-to-clean areas. Enjoy a gentle yet effective clean for your teeth and gums with 62,000 bristle movements per minute. Sonicare Fluid Action supports the bristles to clean by driving fluid deep between teeth and along the gumline. It’s easy to brush too hard, so this sonic electric toothbrush for adults has a smart optic sensor to detect excessive pressure. The sensor lets you know if you’re overdoing it through haptic vibrations. Ease off and your gums will stay protected! Give your clean a boost with 6 brushing settings. Whether you want a little more vigor or a specific focus for your clean, you can have it. Choose between Clean and Gum Health mode, and pick one of three intensity levels. Ace your session time with Sonicare’s cleaning timers. Every 20 seconds, the BrushPacer will prompt you to clean a new area. After 2 minutes, the SmartTimer will indicate your session is complete. Did you know that brush heads become less effective after three months? Dental professionals recommend changing your brush head regularly, which is why Philips Sonicare toothbrushes have a brush head replacement reminder. It tracks how often and how hard you brush, then reminds you to replace your brush head once it's time for a new one. Experience up to 21 days of regular brushing after a single charge, bringing a new level of convenience to your brushing routine. ¹ vs. a manual toothbrush ² in Clean mode vs. a manual toothbrush in 2 weeks

Disappointing Change to the Timing System BrushPacer

I’ve been a long-time user of Philips Sonicare toothbrushes, but I am really disappointed with the new timing system on this 5700 model. It features the new "BrushPacer" system, which uses 20-second intervals rather than the older "QuadPacer" system that relied on 30-second intervals. As a creature of habit, this change completely disrupts my brushing routine and makes the pacing feel rushed and much less intuitive. While the brush itself still delivers a solid, high-quality clean—which is why I'm giving it three stars—the updated interval design is a major step backward in daily usability. I really hope Philips considers bringing back the 30-second QuadPacer option in future models.

No charger included, despite what package says

I got this product home and found it does not come with a wall charger, just a USB plug! I have a Sonicare DiamondClean toothbrush but it doesn't use this type of USB charger, and who has a USB plug in their bathroom? Now I have to buy a splash-rated wall adapter to charge my toothbrush in the bathroom (where people tend to use these things, duh) and the Philips website doesn't make that easy either. They tell me the model I need, but I can't find it easily. I might just return the toothbrush, I'm so annoyed by this. The packaging has NO indication that you'll need an accessory to use this toothbrush in the bathroom. In fact, it clearly says "1 Charger" is included. Very misleading!

Hello there. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the charger and that the packaging did not meet your expectations. At Philips, we are committed to reducing plastic waste. As part of our environmental efforts, some Philips products no longer come with a USB power adapter. While this may seem inconvenient, we have made this choice because many consumers already own one or multiple USB wall adapters. We continue to include the USB charging cable, which can be used with a compatible adapter. That said, we understand your concerns about clarity and accessibility, and we’d like to help you find a suitable solution. Please reach out to us directly so we can assist you further. You can contact us via Facebook/Instagram (@Philips) or X (@PhilipsCare). If you don’t use social media, you can also get in touch through our support page: https://www.usa.philips.com/c-w/support-home/support-contact-page Thank you again for your feedback — it helps us improve. Not as good the previous models.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The battery life is much worse than my previous rechargeable toothbrush. My old toothbrush gave me a tone after thirty seconds so I could do front and back of top and bottom. This one gives a tone after twenty seconds so I have to do both front and back of the thirds of top and bottom. I'm not as confident that I do as good a job with the brushing. I wish they had a way to select 20 or 30 second intervals.

A solid feel and grip to this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the grip on this model. This is the 3rd Sonicare toothbrush I’ve owned. The 2 before had been dropped and the small drive shaft that provides the vibration was knocked loose. Hopefully this one will last longer. This one also seems to be quieter. The 3 speeds are nice. The other nice feature is the confirmation beep when inserting the brush.

Battery does not last 21 days/charge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It definitely has a faster stroke/min. The battery does not come close to lasting 21 days/charge. To get what they say is improvement in dental health, plaque and gum health, you brush for longer over the lower priced models. The bristles are way harder so that has some sort of affect.

    Declining quality

The power button stopped responding after 2 & 1/2mos. Is it a fluke or has Sonicare quality declined? My previous Sonicare brushes lasted a couple of yrs each so I was expecting the same again. I also don’t like how they’re cutting costs by not supplying a power adapter brick nor a case.

    Intense

I'm sure it works just fine, but these torture devices need to come with a warning on the package: not suitable for sensitive gums, cheeks, tongues, and anything inside the mouth other than teeth. I've never used an electric toothbrush before, but I found out the intense vibration is WAY more than a "tickle" as I've heard from other users. I didn't last 30 seconds before I cried out, "No more!" A good pre-purchase test to see if you can stand it would be to clip a jumper cable on your car's 12-volt battery, then rub the opposite clips around the inside of your mouth (Satire Alert: Don't actually do this.) Electric shock is pretty much what this kind of vibrating toothbrush feels like.
