Disappointing
I knew this day was coming ever since they stopped using real fitted gloves that came in a bag and not the generic cheap mitts that now come in a sleeve. Now it seemed they’ve completely cut corners with the product. Got the 4N color. It colored my greys… sort of. Most are just an orangey bronze color now. Experiencing a worrying change in hair fall since using this, now even 2 washes later, I see color running after I shampoo. That never used to happen. The color used to be multi dimensional- I was even complimented on it by my stylist who are notoriously judgy about box dye. It’s just flat and gross now and to me looks like an obvious dye job. Not worth it. I’d rather be grey.

The color application is easy to use, but you must make sure you get all the roots covered if you want to cover the gray. Massaging the product thoroughly into the roots is a must. The color lasts about the same as other coloring products.

I tried this for the first time today and it seriously has changed my life. I will never go back to regular hair dye. The foam was SO much easier to apply, a much quicker application process, and mess-free. It saturated my hair much better than any other brand I have tried. My hair is so soft and the color looks amazing. And $12...are you kidding me?? I will riot if they ever discontinue this.

Not user friendly. Color coverage is a joke. The only change was in my roots. And they ended up a color nowhere close to the color advertised. Will not use again. Buyer beware.

I bought this foam hair color from Target and I honestly regret it.
I bought this foam hair color from Target and I honestly regret it. Yes, the color result is fine — not amazing, just acceptable — and the foam format helps with the “no drip” part. But the moment you mix the solution and start dispensing the foam, it releases an insanely strong chemical odor. It wasn’t just “hair dye smell.” It felt like a harsh, gassy chemical fume that hit immediately. My eyes started watering, my nose was burning, and I had to step away because it felt straight-up unhealthy to breathe. If a product is going to release fumes that strong during normal use, that needs to be stated clearly on the box — not buried in generic safety language. A bigger warning like “EXTREMELY STRONG FUMES — use in heavy ventilation” would be the bare minimum. The “foam” gimmick isn’t worth it if the tradeoff is getting blasted with fumes that make you feel sick while applying it. The color came out okay, but the experience was so unpleasant that I wouldn’t buy it again.
