Love this machine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine, not really loud which I was hesitant about since it’s going in the office l. Making a great coffee is now way too easy, it’s actually getting out of control ;) Looks great on my desk. I absolutely love the pearl white! It does drip in the tray so I rinse it out regularly so it’s always clean. That’s the only downside but the pros definitely outweigh that.

Waste of Money
Another cheap plastic leaky mess. Quality of Nespresso has gone down the gutter. Start using metal parts that last longer. Tanks that don't leak. flimsy parts that can't crack. You produced another machine that doesn't stand out whatsoever. Its overpriced along with the pods that used to be affordable, now they too are overpriced. You have zero loyalty program so the thousands of dollars I have spent give me nothing back in return. The only thing I am looking forward to is the patent to expire so I can get off-brand pods for the Vertuo. Nespresso has fallen off.

Disappointed
It’s cute and makes a good cup of coffee. However, the technical design is terrible. Coffee leaks into the pod tank after the pod is released with every cup of coffee. It makes a mess and is not sanitary - mildew grows quickly in the tray. Stay away from this if you want a clean machine and counter.

Two Machines, Same Defect
I purchased a Nespresso Vertuo Up expecting a product that consistently works. Instead, I’ve now been through two separate units with the identical issue: water leaves the tank but dumps into the interior of the machine rather than out of the front spout. No coffee is produced. The lever locks fully, the pod is seated correctly, and there are no error lights — the machine simply fails to do the one thing it’s designed to do. After troubleshooting the first unit extensively — priming attempts, reseating the water tank, verifying the lock mechanism — I returned it and received a replacement. The second unit has the exact same issue out of the box. Two machines with the same failure points to a design or manufacturing issue, not user error. I had multiple other people try both machines and no one could fix it. For a machine at this price point, this is unacceptable. I’m disappointed that Nespresso launched a new product with what appears to be an unresolved water routing problem, and I’d encourage anyone considering the Vertuo Up to wait until these issues are addressed. I’ve been a Nespresso customer in the past and genuinely want to continue being one, but I can’t recommend this machine in its current state.

Better than what you’d go out for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had our Vertuo Up for about 3 weeks and couldn’t be happier. The area we live in has multiple choices, the usual chains and smaller places but they need to be open when you’d like a good coffee or espresso. Now all we need to do is go to the kitchen, pick the beverage we want and it’s ready in a couple of minutes and the quality is as good or better than the places we used to go. We would very highly recommend Nespresso machines and coffees.

Does not work with 5G WiFi
Heads up to potential buyers! This machine does not work with 5G WiFi. This limitation is not decribed in any of the literature, and certainly wasn't mentioned to me at the store. After attempting to pair the machine with the app numerous times, I had to swait on hold for half an hour before I was able to speak with a technical advisor who informed me of this fact.

Messy collection bin
Disappointed with the collection bin. Water and coffee grounds in the bin are an everyday issue. Instructions claim that is normal when doing the initial rinse or descaling. Continues when making coffee as well. The bin needs cleaned and rinsed out daily. New machine poorly designed.

Good but not great
This will be my 3rd Nespresso Vertuo machine. In general, I have found the Vertuo Up to be adequate. I appreciate the very quick warm-up time and slim profile of the unit. That being said, overall, the machine has a cheap feel to it. It's pretty much entirely plastic and just has a sort of flimsy/cheap feel to it compared to previous machines that had stylish chrome accents. My second complaint is that the "smart features" are very underwhelming. First, you'll need a separate app "Nespresso Smart" to connect your machine. Once connected, you will be presented with a very limited number of "smart" features. Given the emphasis on connectivity for this particular machine, I was expecting a bit more in terms of smart features. Perhaps this will improve over time. Overall, I would say I prefer my original Evoluo.

Not a good machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is my 4th or 5th nespresso machine and by far this is the quirkiest. The instructions that come with the machine are useless but there are videos online from nespresso that actually walk you through the set up. Unfortunately they do not cover the myriad of blinking light options that I am encountering. It should be simple to pop in a pod and press a button but for some reason this machine wants me to press the light twice - and then it is a crap shoot on whether I get a cup of coffee or a dribble of disolored water. This machine makes fun coffee when it works but I have had the machine for 2 weeks now and have already wasted at least a sleeve of coffee...

My reasons to give it three stars is I have been a customer for many years now I have had other machines and got the Nespresso virtual up for Christmas hat had been replaced multiple times, but it’s still leaking water. I returned it and went back to a Nespresso virtual next, but also returned that one and went back to the Nespresso virtual up because I love the taste of the coffee better on this machine, but do not like how it spells water

I bought this before Thanksgiving and was so excited. I love that I can make my coffee hotter, but the machine leaks into the pod collector. Mine grew mold because I was not aware that it was doing that. Now I have to take it out and dry it after every coffee, which is very annoying.

Very loud and makes bid mess each time used
This is my second machine, bought first one several years and was great. Bought the Vertuo UP as wanted to upgrade to new machine and mine was wearing out. First look the machine does brew much quicker than previous versions but is extremely loud even compared to previous machines. Once it starts brew process the machine sounds like 50 year old refrigerator kicking on. Next is the capsule tray, once the capsule is used and dumped into the holder it spills coffee into the tray, the bucket holding the tray and even on machine and under tray holder. This basically requires a complete cleaning each time used inside and under machine. To be the latest machine this is a very big disappointment. Could not have been much real testing as seems are basic design flaws. If just used the normal drop in capsule hold instead of sideways capsule seems would have help dramatically. This machine will get replaced immediately with something that does not make such mess. Really disappointed in Nespresso on this one .

The ideal surface for the machine should be solid and flat such as hard wood or a granite countertop. We also recommend running a cleaning cycle weekly and descaling with Nespresso Descaling Solution every 3 months or 300 capsules to keep your machine in peak operating condition and coffee tasting best. Discarded pod holder always full of leaked coffee
I do love the machine but my issue is with the pod holder after coffees are made. So much liquid leaks into the discarded pod holder. Ive had multiple Nespresso machines this has never been an issue .

A Clean Up Pain
We have had this coffeemaker for a month.Coffee is very good. Clean up is a pain. Capsules fall into the container and leak creating opportunity for spill when getting to the sink. In addition everything has to wiped out before reassembly. Too much work with poor design.

Coming from a vertuo plus this honestly feels like a downgrade. It leaks into the collection container with every use. The open/close system is too manual as well. All it has going for it is the connectivity and honestly not worth the price! They should have improved on the vertuo plus coz this isn’t much of an upgrade. Its also noticeably louder than the vertuo plus 😒

Doesnt connect to my new 2.4 GHz band it requires
Had to separate my wifi bands for this machine only for the Nespresso to tell me my password is wrong multiple times. What is the point of having this feature of it is this finicky and incomplete? Sending back for a refund if I cannot get the full potential for this price.

Great machine but with a serious flaw.
The machine looks very nice and brews coffee as expected. I bought this machine few days after it was launched when I visited the Nespresso Boutique. I have two old Nespresso machines and compared to the quality of the build, this new machine feels very cheap and filmsy. While the vertical pod mechanism looks great and convinient but a lot of coffee gets wasted. I use this machine in my office and when I empty the tray every week I see tray fully filled with coffee. There is a odor from the coffee collected in the tray. I hope Nespresso understands this issue and finds some kind of solution for this. I see many others have reported the same issue.
