  • A: Typical pan width is 9 inches. Typical length can be 11, 12, 13 inches. Keep in mind the sides will flair up and out so 11 inches is max allowing for about an extra inch from the flair.

Newly Bought, but not listed on site?

Newly purchased Model 3140J Sure-Crisp Air Fryer Toaster Oven not part of dropdown options needed to complete registration. SO, I looked at the pictures of similar shown for sale and used model # from closest of those pictured.

Love the look of this toaster!

This toaster oven looks great! Love the gray metal that doesn’t show any fingerprints! I wish the entire thing was made of that material but there is stainless steel on the front which looks great but can show fingerprints. I only wish the drip tray was the same size as the air fryer tray..

Save your money

You're better off just blowing warm air on your food. This does not work at all as an air fryer - takes 30+ min to cook anything and doesn't crisp.

Hot, in a bad way

The outside of this unit gets unbelievably hot when in use - okay, fair enough I guess (but probably preventable with better shielding). But what is not acceptable is the handle, which ALSO gets super hot. Bearable to flick open, but god forbid your knuckles graze the door. You will get burned, because the door is scalding. The handle is extremely shallow so this is not an uncommon thing. I get that it’s an oven and is supposed to get hot, but the entire unit becomes a scalding brick when in use. You can’t put it on an open counter if you have any children who may accidentally graze it, and you can’t have anything remotely nearby that you don’t want spontaneously combusting. You can’t even open it without hand protection. It’s a hazard and not worth the trouble.

Unhappy SenAnger

Unable to use the oven I'm afraid it's going to catch fire. I purchased the item in September 2025 and I've only used the oven a few times. I followed the operating directions stating to turn the oven on when I did, I noticed the rear cover protective looked burned. Then as I continued to use the oven, I noticed the same happened to the front [See Attached Photos] I'm stuck with the oven and I'm afraid to use it. I purchased the oven to help me with cooking small items. I've purchased Hamilton Beach products before and never had any issues. But, I'm very unhappy with my experience with this item. Do I reccomend this item? A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y NOT!!

The Hamilton Beach Sure-Crisp Air Fryer Toaster Oven Black - 31418 is super simple to operate. It toast well on bread and frozen waffles. I made a 2.66 LB net weight pork roast and it came out very good just remember to add a use of tin foil from the first hour of the three hours of cooking. The size of the toaster oven is just the right size for a small studio apartment suitable for one or two people and their guest. The air fryer mode is more more like a roast mode with a fan turned on. That is okay with me because I don't really make fried food from scratch. And I mainly got it because I like the fact that the fan moves the air around more efficiently than just a bake or toast mode. Temperature control approximate just like any old oven with a analog dial. If you want precisely temperature then you should use a digital toaster oven. Just remember Frozen dinners + the like that have microwave safe plastic will likely melt in the toaster oven. What is best is if you like to make make frozen dinners and similar like frozen lasagnas is to transfer the food into a oven safe ovenware.

I bought this item for my nana because her oven quit working and she needed something to use until it was repaired. She has used it everyday since then and loves it! It fits everything she can think of (including full size pizzas) and all of the food comes out cooked perfectly. She is not very tech savvy, however she doesn’t have any problem operating the oven. I only gave 4 stars because we haven’t used the air fryer option at all and it obviously takes up a good amount of counter space, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons.
