Bad espresso maker
Strayed out food and in less than two plinths will not grind or brew without glitching. Disappointed.

We recommend cleaning the grinder following the instructions in the manual. Select a grind setting between 7 and 9 and use non-oily medium roast beans for the best espresso. Remove the bean Hopper, then re-install making sure the hopper is rotated to the lock position. As stated in the manual, the grinder indicator will illuminate if the hopper is not locked into place. Clean the grinder chute from the bottom of the grinder. If the chute is clogged, the beans can not feed into the grinder. Good when it has no issues.
The machine was having issues of water coming from the button and the coffee grinder gets stuck all the time. The machine was replaced and I’m still having the same issue with the water dripping from the button and the grinder getting stuck.

Great machine
I've had a smaller machine for several years and this was a big upgrade. Love the smart functionality to set my grind time, temp and oz!. The shots are even and taste great when using a good quality bean. The grinder is working just fine right now. I've had the unit for little over a month. I was skeptical but so far so good.

Cafe Bellissimo
I purchased this item in December, 2024. While still under warranty, I had to exchange the item because the grinder stopped working. In March, 2026 I had to file a claim with the extended warranty that I paid for due to the the espresso machine stopped functioning suddenly during normal use. When attempting to brew espresso, water does not pass through the coffee grounds or portafilter as expected. The machine powers on, but no espresso is produced. The extended warranty only covered what I paid for the machine and now the machine cost more money. It is very disappointing to pay this kind of money from a reputable company and I have gone through two machines in a short period of time.

Terrible Machine
When it works its fine. It doesnt heat up hot enough, and don't say use the cup warmer, cause that doesnt even got hot enough to use as a hand warmer. It is loud! Like obnoxiously loud. And it breaks. So flipping easily. Wasn't home one day and suddenly got notifications in the app that my hopper needed to replace. Not just one notification, but >100. No one else uses it but me, so when I get home I take it apart, clean everything, reassemble and it continues to intermittently work but still occasionally gives me the error until finally that stops working. Try a replacement hopper, doesnt do it. Try the help line- not helpfully. So do not recommend. Mine was just over 2 years old and I only used it 3x/week at most.

Disappointed
I bought my espresso machine in October 2025, 5 months later the grinder light won't turn off. I have kept up the maintenance on the machine and cleaned the grinder three times. I am so disappointed as I spent a lot of time selecting it and other cafe appliance items. I want the machine replaced at this point.

i Had issues with this machine since purchase. Now it has stopped working period. I have all my appliances Cafe and it has been a nightmare with every one of them. Do not buy. as beautiful as they are the parts are cheap and break just by looking at it.

Disappointment
I don’t typically leave reviews. But I am highly disappointed. I received this as a birthday present last year and have had nothing but problems with it. Can’t connect to WiFi. Leaking water. Inconsistency grinding of beans. The kicker is the last clean cycle I have performed it is stuck on clean. After reading in this and watching videos. They say to unplug this for 5-10 minutes this didn’t work. Another video stated to updaei through the app. Unfortunately you can only due this if it’s connected to WiFi. Unfortunately I have decide to get rid of this and hope my next machine is if better quality.

2nd unit working ok. 1st unit failed after 2 month
The second unit is working. The first unit stopped functioning properly after less than 2 months of use. GE did the right thing and honored the 1 year warranty and sent a new unit after some back and forth and requiring arduous steps for a replacement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is this is best espresso machine on the planet? No. But it is a great option for folks who want great espresso on a budget. It can be a little glitchy at times, but 98% of the time it brews perfect espresso. It's simple enough to clean. The water tank has great capacity! We do not use WiFi enabled features on appliances so I can't speak to the interface. I just can't imaging needing to make coffee with my phone. It is plastic mostly, but it looks really nice on the counter with all the other coffee appliances!

Very unsatisfied for cost!
Nothing but trouble from the start. And suggested fixes did not help. Cleaned numerous times and still spits grinds everywhere. Wish I would have read reviews before I purchased. If I did I would have purchased a different brand completely.

It is a great addition to my home

Grinder
The grinder went out after almost a year of using it. I kept up today on all the routine maintenance and cleaning up the grinder weekly and use high-quality espresso beans, but it was burnt out and basically melted when I called GE it was right past my year warranty so they offered no help. This is an expensive purchase for it to last no longer than a year. It does pre-ground espresso beans well still.

Very Disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this GE Café Bellissimo Espresso Machine only 4–6 weeks a year in our second home. Even with such light use, the first unit stopped working after nine months and was replaced under warranty. The replacement unit has now failed just a year later. Unfortunately, GE will not replace it again. Very disappointing for a premium machine that’s barely been used — I expected better reliability from the Café line.
