Love this product for my starter locs
I have low porosity type 4 hair and this twisting butter is a holy grail product. I recently started locs and I use the butter to smooth the frizz after I wash my hair. My hair is well moisturized and soft for at least a week. I don’t think this substitutes a gel or curling cream, there isn’t much hold, and the product is quite heavy so using too much, especially looser curl patterns or fine hair will weigh your hair down, so use it sparingly.

It smells nice.
I love the smell it’s very soft light and creamy but I have noticed it’s a bit drying on my hair as I twist it and it leaves my hair dry - now I have to layer it with hair oil twisting it very quickly however once my is dry my hair feels fine. I’m still not sure I’d purchase this product again until I can figure out how this works long term on my hair.

For me it felt sticky and dried it out. My hairs 3c for reference and my coils were nice and shiny after my hair routine then later in the evening it had a weird crunch to it and looked dull. Some parts were flaking as well.

This twisting butter is the truth! It's been really dry here in Southern California, and my hair was suffering because of it. I bought a jar of the this twisting butter and used it as a moisturizer. When I woke up the next morning, my hair was sooo soft, & extremely moisturized...I nearly shed a tear, lol. I didn't even use much and it transformed my dry lifeless curls into juicy, hydrated, lushness...I could not keep my hands out of my head! I just ran out and I will be repurchasing because this is now a staple product...it really is that good.

Definitely designed for type four hair not the best for a type three.
Ladies! This twisting butter is just that, a twisting butter. If you’re a girl like me, who has 3B/3C hair and you want something moisturizing and to hold the curl shape, do not get this product. It’s an amazing product. I gave it to my mom who has 4B/4C hair And she loves it. It works so much better for her, but it is a very heavy product for someone with fine hair, and that is 3b/3c. this is not gonna work well for you it’s gonna be entirely too heavy and your curls may not even form just because the product is weighing them down so much. If you’re a girl with type four hair get this product, it’s beautiful, it was made for you actually. but if you’re a girl with type three hair or have fine hair, this may not be the product for you. But I do like this brand a lot so I’ll say that.
