Description

Improve your gum health up to 100% better than a manual toothbrush with the ProtectiveClean 5100 rechargeable electric toothbrush. It has a pressure sensor that protects teeth and gums from excess brushing pressure. Brush heads wear out over time. Our BrushSync technology tracks how long you have been using your Optimal Gum Care brush head and how hard you have been brushing. Your electric toothbrush will beep to inform you when to replace your brush head. Customize your own brushing experience with your choice of 3 modes: Clean, White and Gum Care. The easy-start feature slowly increases the power of the brush as you get used to the Sonicare experience and the smartimer encourages a full 2 minutes brushing time as recommended by your dental professional. The battery charge indicator light lets you know when it is time recharge; 2 week battery life. The kit includes 1 ProtectiveClean 5100 handle, 1 Optimal Gum Care brush head, 1 charger, 1 travel case.

This product has pressure control and adjustment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a " basic" sonicare toothbrush for a long time. I needed a new one so I saw the ProtectiveClean model that looked interesting and had adjustable pressure and was reasonably priced. I am glad I got it.I use it morning and night and am very happy with it. Glad to have 'upgraded' as my dentist regularly tells me how good I seem to be brushing and flossing after starting using the electric toothbrush.

The rating is for the product durability. I have only used the brush for approximately 6 months and the metal stem that holds the brush became loose and can not be used safely. It wobbles around in the mouth and could damage teeth. I have had OralB units that lasted years. I tried this product to see if it cleaned teeth better and it is a shame I won't be buying the product again since it did seem to clean better but the manufacturing durability quality is lacking.

The 1 star is for product durability. The metal stem that holds the toothbrush became loose inside the housing and the toothbrush could not be used safely. The unit was only used for 6 months. I have had Oralb units that lasted years compared to this model. I will not be purchasing this product again but the one positive thing was that it did make teeth cleaner, shame it didn't last longer.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re very sorry to hear about the durability issue you described, particularly with the metal stem becoming loose after only six months of use. That’s certainly not the reliability we want for our customers, and we understand how disappointing this is. When you have a moment, please reach out to us directly via Facebook/Instagram (@Philips) or X (@PhilipsCare). If you don’t use social media, you can also contact us through our support page: https://www.usa.philips.com/c-w/support-home/support-contact-page Thank you again for sharing your feedback — it’s important to us, and we’re here to help. Like the toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like the toothbrush very much. However it included 3 brush heads, 1 of which was defective and won’t click onto the tooth brush. We need 3 brush heads so we had to order more brush heads. We would be happy to return the defective brush head to get a replacement one. Please let us know if that is possible. Thanks

Very good, but mine haven't lasted too well.

I have had 3 of these over the years, and have had 2 replaced. I WOULD replace the 3rd if it broke. They do break. They are still incredibly hard-working and effective. They come highly recommended but make sure you keep the Guarantee handy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have nothing to compare this toothbrush to, since it is my first electronic one. It tickles my mouth when I brush the inside of my teeth. The timed sounds helps me brush longer. I must mention this, although it has nothing to do with the quality of the product. I wrote to you when I received it and asked a question about the brushes that came with it, but you didn't have the courtesy to respond.

    Very nice toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Protective Clean 5100 is great! We really like the little beep you hear every 30 seconds to remind you to switch to different teeth. The slim style is easy to hold and the battery lasts at least two weeks. It's nice having the option of the 3 different settings, but the standard one should be fine for most people. All in all, a great toothbrush. I wish it were easier to figure out how to sign up for the brush auto-refills; I still haven't found how to do that.
