The cordless Dyson Gen5outsize has the suction power of a corded vacuum.¹ It has HEPA filtration for our deepest, most hygienic clean. It's engineered with the larger size, power, intelligence, and additional run time to deep clean larger spaces. It has a 25% wider cleaner head and 150% larger bin compared to the Dyson Gen5detect, as well as twice the run time. The Dyson Gen5outsize covers more floor with each pass and allows for more cleaning between bin emptying and charges. It intelligently optimizes suction power based on floor type and debris picked up.⁵ The LCD screen indicates when to keep cleaning an area and when to move on. Q: Is the HEPA filter really washable? to identify its the stand-up pleated cylindrical one that looks like paper. The similar filter on the Miele cordless isn't washable, so worth asking.

Product feels very premium but am very disappointed with the battery. I am not getting the necessary charge to facilitate cleaning the whole flat in 1 go so need to wait 4 hours for it to recharge. I think 2 batteries should be provided for this unit.

WOW! I 'm shocked once again by Dyson. I was unsure if I should purchase the new Gen5detect. I had an older Dyson vacuum it was working fine. We have a Labrador retriever, they have vey strong, "pokey" hair. The new Gen5 picked EVERYTHING up!! Really strong suction. I would highly recommend

Great replacement for our V10 machine that has served well for years. Heavier model but more effectve especially the Optic Cleaner Head showing dust you can’t normally see. Our mains/corded DC27 now lives in the cupboard. Enough battery to clean whole house and more.

Hi there, so far very impressed with how the vacuum performs cleaning wise and so easy to empty dust and fluff. We have 270m2 of tile and carpet flooring area and find that on auto the battery only lasts for about 50% of the clean. until it needs to go on charge. Also on first use the plastic dome covering optic light on head cleaner broke off, this seems to be a design fault as when head goes under chairs etc it comes into contact with chair legs, broke on first clea.
