Does not puncture k-cups
i've tried many times over the years of using this to puncture k-cups. but really i got it purely to use as a ground coffee maker. I put my own grounds into the filter basket and brew just fine. 2 Stars though because the k-cups do not puncture.

Only Works with some k-cups and too small of cup
Works ok with grounds,have to brew a 2nd time to get aa decent size cup. K-cups are hit or miss as some brands the puncture does not go through to the coffee and you only get a cup of hot water.

Terrible design
Well i thought this was going to be easy to use. Nope The regular brew basket let's too much of the grounds in and so i decided to try k cups. Had to look up instructions because i threw them away! Keep your instructions and pay attention to how the buttons work and how the holder has to be or you will have water all over the place and wasted coffee.

This coffee maker works okay with grounds. It does not work well with kcups. The first kcup I made had tons of grounds in the coffee. The second kcup was very light brown. The kcup poker seems out of line.

I just got this coffee maker, so I can't address its durability, but I have been happy with other Proctor Silex products. This single serve coffee maker only has a 10 oz tank and isn't tall enough for a travel mug to fit. Other than that, it seems to work well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hamilton Beach proctor silex single serve coffee maker is easy to use and makes great tasting coffee. I am usually the only one in my home that drinks coffee so it works great for me to have a little pick me up in the mornings. I only use k cups and its easy to insert and press. The button down for the k cup to open.
