The Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro is valued for its ability to clean multiple surfaces, including hardwood, tile, and area rugs. Despite its effectiveness in removing dirt, hair, and pet messes, some guests find it leaves streaks on floors and requires frequent cleaning, which can be time-consuming. The product's durability is also questioned by some users. The vacuum and mop combination, however, is generally appreciated for its convenience and time-saving benefits.

problem with the motor apparently
when we used the item, the motor makes a whining noise and sounds as if it is struggling to stop properly

Love It!❤️
I've had mine for a few years and I love it! So much easier than a mop and my floors look great. I have indoor dogs and cat. After a couple of years of almost daily use, I replaced the brush. Still works like brand new. I highly recommend!

Convenient
Quick and easy the set up is easy and convenient. I have to give it a couple of minutes. Go slow over area rug but it does the job!

A very convenient appliance.
The vacuumed is lightweight and easy to manipulate, the suction is very good for its size. The water cleaning seems good , I like the compact size and ease to use.

Needs more suction power
Nice machine but it really needs an upgrade in suction power and a more effective scrub brush. This is my second machine and the small improvement of the added pet hair strainer was a improvement over the old. Same motor and same underpower is the main issue

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the CrossWave® Pet Pro. We’re glad the pet hair strainer has been useful, but we’re sorry the suction and brush performance still feel too weak. We’d love to help troubleshoot and see if we can improve pickup for your floors. Please reach out to us at support.bissell.com so we can assist.

Not the best
I’ve had this for about two years. It’s good. But, it’s very difficult to get the suction part off. I struggle and I’m fairly strong. For the person who said they did their entire 1800 square foot house with this isn’t telling the truth. I don’t do my area rugs nor do I use it in my bedroom. That leaves about 900 square feet of exposed flooring and I barely get through that before the machine makes a hideous sound and stops actually working. I will be looking for another machine.

Hi Jill, I’m sorry this has been such a hassle. A stuck brush window or clog can cause the noise and shutdown you described, and a quick cleaning usually helps. If you’d like, our team can walk you through it at support.bissell.com.

Doesnt work on area rugs
Got this specifically for area rugs and it doesn’t work on them unless they are very high pile. Otherwise it just sucks up the rug until it blows a fuse

I had not been happy with Swiffer/bona or other floor cleaners. I used this three times because there was so much dirt left by the other products. Very happy with the Bissell system.

It cleaned my floors but that's where the joy ended. Too many steps required to clean the unit after every use. Returning and going back to a simple steam mop.

good floor cleaner for small rooms, I wish it had more suction power to pick up the water on the floor. I like that some of the proceeds go to animal foundations.

2 stopped working in months.
My first one stopped working after only about a month. Using once a week. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but now the 2nd has stopped working before it was a year old. The brush spins intermittently and it won’t sprays water. When it worked it was great. Unfortunately I don’t want to be buying new appliances every few months.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with your CrossWave® Pet Pro. Another satisfied Bissell Customer!
This is exactly what I needed for my hard floors. I am older and just don’t have the energy to push a mop around and swiffers just didn’t get the job done because this floor is the most used one in the house. Love it!

Great purchase for busy people and pet owners
As a busy person and dog owner, being able to vacuum and mop at the same time is very helpful! The machine works great and I find it easy to clean after using as well. It works well on both my wood floors and large area rugs.

good
I have tried several similar type products and always end up back at this one. I have had 3 or 4 of them over the last 10 years. The only thing I wish it did better, is sprayed the water out evenly. It always tends to be mostly on one side, with every one of them. I just work around it. Also, it would be a plus if it wasn't so loud. With that being said, it does the best job cleaning and mostly not streaking.

So Easy To Use
I bought this because I have hardwood floors throughout and to vacuum, and then go back and mop was quite a chore. With this, I can vacuum up small bits at the same time as I mop the floor, which makes the job half as long. I love the fact that there’s a little rubber feet inside the mop head, which scrubs a little bit harder on the sticky spots on the floor. Cleanup is a breeze, and I am super happy with how clean my floors are.

I would buy again and again
I can't live without mine. Amazing product. You will be surprised by how much dirt you regular mop left behind. I told my husband we lived like pigs until we got this mop!

Cleans well for the most part
I've had this unit for a few years now and I find it great to use, easy to get started cleaning, and gets the job done. I find that on my vinyl flooring it seems like it leaves behind tiny hairs, and it doesn't get to the edges of the floor against the wall very well. Hard deposits which require lots of scrubbing don't seem to come up easily most of the time, but for loose messes and general liquids it works great and still makes the floors look and feel fresh. For these I'm thinking about trying a spin mop. I'm glad the brush roll and filter are both reusable and refillable; my partner has long hair that gets caught around the brush roll easily. As I've used it, I've found I've had to clean out the brush roll spinner by running it without the brush roll. I do a full cleaning of the dirty water tank every use to keep it fresh. The brush roll shield also has to be cleaned, even after doing a water rinse, which is a step I almost forget every time. This cleaning takes a bit which is another reason why I'm considering a spin mop.

Do not buy!!
Does not clean well. Basically wets on one side of brush. Leaves horrible streaks on floor. Tried a few times with the recommended floor cleaning product as well as tried vinegar water and plain water to get haze and streaks off floor. I actually put it away for several months and tried it again. Still terrible floor that going over with regular wet mop to try to get clean and rid of mess the Bissell left behind. So sorry I didn't return it back when I first bought it but I tried to use differently to see if it was me. My son-in-law tried it and said he didn't like it all. Floor looks worse.
