Hoover PowerScrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner

I've had this carpet cleaner for a few years now. It sounds like the motor totally burned up. It's extremely loud now, and won't do anything. No water comes out, no suction. It worked great for the first 2-3 years I had it. I tried cleaning it as best I could, but it still won't work. I would not buy Hoover again. I'm really disappointed, considering I loved it so much in the beginning, that my sister bought the same one.

Some of the features on this machine work great. However, the clean water/solution tank has never worked properly. It always dispenses cleaning solution no matter whether it's switched to wash or rinse. This can be frustrating.

Product was only used a handful of times, but stopped working just after six months. Product won't even power on.

I previously owned a similar Hoover model that the seals for H2O and solution broke down. I replaced it FH52000. Nice machine, uses little H2O but if really soiled you will have to wash ( go forward) slowly to saturate. I had no issues until I wanted to do corners. Hand tool ng. Now this model has a port. The tube connects to the nipple but leaves a rectangular port #34 to attach solution tube. Anyway there isn’t any other tube to fit that port in the box. It will be returned. Like all they all leak when you turn off, I keep it in a large garbage bag to transport through the house.

It works amazing but it says it has heat force but it does not. We bought this specifically for the heat force. It does clean up heavy soiled areas due to heavy traffic so 3 out of 5.

The pump for the hose attachment stopped working on the first day. I Googled the issue, and it seems like the pump breaking is a common problem. One of the reasons I purchased this was because it had the hose attachment for spot cleaning. I will not be purchasing another Hoover product in the future.

It worked fairly well at first, but started leaking before too long. When I use it, there is a large puddle on the carpet -- I can't dry the carpet fast enough because it leaks constantly.

First carpet cleaner we ever owned, not the first one I ever use. Easy to set up, easy to use. Love how the water and the solution have its own home love how the dirty water cont. comes apart. Great‼️‼️

We had an enclosed sun porch that our pets had literally destroyed the carpet. I thought. Your machine said no it's not. The carpet looks brand new one of the best appliances I have ever bought

I bought this Vaccum in September 2000 and only used twice. When I recently used it and placed the tank after filling with water back on the vaccum the water leaked from the bottom. It's a waste of money.

Purchased this worked great for a while, went to use today and it won't turn on... I'm told it's out of the warranty time. So I can replace it by buying a new one. Shouldn't this last more than 3yrs?? Oh an the warranty is only for 2yrs. How ironic Hoover...

It did a great job and was easy to put together but the top tank where the clean water sit the seal along the side is leaking

I have cleaned two shag whole room carpets with this cleaner. This cleaner offers great suction and cleans well. It is easy to use; simply fill the top tank with hot water, add carpet detergent, and go. The parts and design are better than the old Hoover Max Extract All Terrain that I owned for a little over ten years. The dirty tank comes apart easily for cleaning up when you are finished. I totally understand the new design over the old one. Hopefully this one lasts ten years. The squegee that you would attach on the bottom plate is not included like one of the pictures I saw, at least from the Hoover website. I will be purchasing it as I'm 100% positive it will work well on my tile floors just like my old Max Extract. The cleaning path is also not as wide as my old one either. I did try one of the competitor company's carpet cleaners and it did not extract the water from the carpet well. I have not used any of the attachments at this time. I love Hoover carpet cleaning products. I also own the one for spot messes.

I bought one used. I need one of the top screw in caps for either the fresh water or detergent opening. I need another rubber seal for the dirty water compartment. Also all of the extra attachments. I have ALWAYS liked Hoover products. This is a carpet cleaner FH 50150

Water started spraying everywhere so I went to investigate and during disassembly plastic sharp plastic pieces started falling out. I always cleaned after each use too. Very disappointed.

Absolutely worthless product. The problem is that it has only a small area for it to suck in things. It constantly gets clogged by my dog and cat hair. Would not recommend. All it's good for is blowing hot air.

I purchased this model in January 2020 but because I had just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer the box was not opened upon receipt as I had other more important health issues to focus on. Now that I am making progress in my fight with cancer I opened the undamaged box as I need to clean a section of carpet but was extremely disappointed with the defects found in the box which included: A. Handle - Maroon cover is delaminating (maroon cover on the handle, which is designed to match the base of the unit) has become loose and is heavily scored in several places; B. Removable Clean Water / Solution Tank - This is cracked and leaks when filled or used; C. Holes in Back of Unit for Hoses - These have been very poorly cut and have such rough edges, sufficiently rough to cut fingers (edges cut - no proper machining of edges). My own finger bled when touching this edge. Unfortunately, due to my medical situation, I was unable to open the sealed and undamaged box until after the 2 year warranty had expired. Normally I would assume that QC would ensure a properly manufactured product, especially with Hoover. Hoover has a long reputation of quality products. I approached Customer Service who were not able to help but who suggested that I buy a new unit. This is a $299/- item and thus not impressed by the lack of responsibility by Hoover for a product that was found damaged out of the box.

Worked AMAZING until...the pump went out for the attachment part. After a quick google search to see if it's fixable, it appears this is a common problem and the pump replacement part is not cheap.
