We use hot temperature as it generally froths more easily and creates a richer, more stable foam due to the way proteins in the milk react to heat. Makes delicious espresso! Be aware it is not fully automatic so it does not shut off after you pull a shot. Also, the machine does not shut off automatically if you forget to turn off power. My machine was on for over 12 hours today because I forgot to turn it off!

Got this as a gift 5 years ago. Have used the expresso once and the main coffee maker about 15 times. Now the machine won’t make anything Been back and forth with the company - no recourse Offered 20 % off a new machine. Why would I even want to buy another one ? Do not buy!!! Junk!

Do not buy! After only two years, a gross rusty sludge developed inside the water tank. I descaled it every 2-3 months but that didn’t keep it clean.

Item heating element failed, just a month past warranty..... had to jump through hoops to show when bought - despite registering for warranty with them origianally. Customer service not willing to help customer with real solutions despite the $300 price tag. Also, frothing element never truly worked well. Never buy this brand for this amount of money again.

I got this 11 months ago for a gift. The drip coffee portion has never made a good cup of coffee. The espresso side was fun but temperamental. After 9 months it started making weird noises and pouring out steam. I descaled it which helped for about a month. Now it’s even worse. It will make the espresso but the frother pours out steam in areas it shouldn’t and squawks do loud I have to turn it off. I contacted DeLonghi. They wrote back for additional information which I provided. No resolution yet. They were contacted on the 12-24-24 and I received an answer asking for more detail on the 27. Immediately responded. I know it’s the holidays but still no resolution a week later. I wouldn’t but another. You can spend the same money and get a Breville Bambino and get a much better machine. As my sister has pointed out, don’t buy combos because one part stops working and you have to buy 2 new things to replace.

I purchased the all in one coffeemaker to create cream brûlée coffee. I couldn’t get the frother to foam cream. I figured it can’t building enough Steam or something was wrong. Actually, I found out this machine isn’t design for cream only milk. My husband loves the pot side bc he drinks coffee all day. That’s a plus! Overall great machine for the money. Personally, they should make sure it only froths milk and make it obvious.

Got my new machine on Christmas. (Second machine owned) From the start this machine leaks. Tried the expresso side, added water into the tank and once the water starts to heat up, it starts to leak into the tray. Cleaned and repositioned the water tank. Tried a second time and the amount of water coming out increased. Returning it today. Not even going to bother trying the use the pot side.
