A: Great Question - There is not a way to turn the Heat feature off. The Heatwave Technology is designed to help maintain water temperature from your faucet throughout your entire cleaning experience.

A: I've never known a carpet cleaner, in itself, to kill fleas. You need treatments specifically targeting those. (You might try adding a little Dawn Dish Soap to the cleaning solution and to your dog's bath, though. It's as safe as any shampoo and is known to kill fleas.)

A: This is not meant to be a vacuum. You need to vacuum with a regular vacuum prior to using this carpet cleaner as it will clump up a bunch of hairs if not but it will generally pick up any other hairs regular vacuuming does not catch as well and you have to clean out the unit after. I am not sure about fleas though. I have 2 rescue dogs and they both get monthly Frontline flea treatments so I have never noticed any fleas. I apologize that I cannot help you with that answer. They do piddle on the carpet sometimes so this is great especially if I need to spot clean. My routine is to vacuum first then use this as a carpet cleaner. They have a couple of different Bissell brand products to choose from ranging from Pet Antibacterial Cleaners and Deep Cleaners which works wonderfully in my opinion. I am very happy with my Carpet Cleaner. It does take time to clean and you have to allow time dry with no walking on it unless you have clean, bare feet. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

A: Hi Marty - When cleaning shag, you may want a heavier carpet cleaner like the BISSELL DeepClean Premier as you may see better suction results.

A: It did a great job on my large area rug that is “shag” like. It is a beautiful rug but the high pile attracts a lot of dirt. I’ve only gone over it once (have two large dogs and it is in a high traffic area that hasn’t been deep cleaned in over a year) and it already looks (and feels) so much more clean. Highly recommend!

A: Thanks for the question, Jim! The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet model 15489 doesn’t come with a storage tray. It does include helpful tools like a hose and a pet stain tool. The storage tray is inlcuded with some models and is sold separately through BISSELL.

A: We recommend dry vacuuming thoroughly prior deep cleaning your carpet. To clean the brush rolls, lay the machine down with the bottom of the foot facing up and there is a comb included for cleaning the brushes. Hope this helps!
