A: Hi Zach, The bagel setting reduces heat on one side of the toasting slot so that the "inside" of the bagel gets the direct heat.

Toasts unevenly!!! Significant portions are left completely untoasted on both sides too Exceedingly light in weight, not much to it. No heft to stabilize it

Deserving of 5 star but SS finish pron to staining
This Toaster works perfectly and is deserving of a 5 star rating. The only down side is the Stainless Steel finish, which is pron to staining that does not clean up.

2 slice toaster not up to Cuisinart quality
This toaster replaced a 12 year old T-Fal toaster that was actually a more heavy duty toaster. My new Cuisinart toaster doesn’t always pop up my bagels all the way. Spring is not strong enough to lift weight of a bagel and I have to manually lift. Otherwise it toasts fine. Very lightweight and looks nice on counter.

A Magnificent Toaster of goodies!
I love this toaster! We had one for a good number of years and the push down handle broke on it so we needed to replace with another one. Given the reliability, ease of use, and settings on the toaster, I was glad to be able to find an identical model. It, too, does exactly the same thing as the old one did - an excellent job all around!!!

Poor Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading many reviews, we were highly disappointed with this Cuisinart toaster. The toaster does not brown evenly, and the lever is cheaply made. We preferred our old Oster toaster, which lasted for several years.

Nice looking and consistent toasting.
Nice looking toaster with intuitive dials. So far the toasting has been consistent. The only concern is it is very lightweight so hoping it will hold up as long as my last Cuisinart which I had for approximately 25 years.
