Q: Hi. I bought this vacuum couple months ago. It works super well on hardwood floor but on carpet, it is EXTREMELY difficult to move and push even with level 2 Brushroll. Is there something wrong? Help!

A: Like most vacuum cleaners there is a suction control actually just a little round ring that usually fits down on the handle and you can either open it which will give you the ability to vacuum rugs or throw rugs without having to feel like you’re pushing 400 pounds if you feel it’s not strong enough then you can close it some and you will get section ever sincecame out that’s it that’s all I buy. I will refuse to buy a Dyson one. It is expensive to. They will fall apart easily and for the third one I just don’t like them.
submitted by6kidsinall - 10 months agoA: I would say there is something wrong with yours. We have had ours for 2 years and it is the easiest vacuum I’ve owned so far. I’ve never had an issue with this vacuum and I actually traded my Kirby in for this one. There is little to no resistance using this on the carpet with the brush roll on. LOVE this vacuum.

A: You can turn off what I think you’re talking about, the brush roll, by putting it on bare floor.

A: Ours was making a high pitched noise and has zero suction. Checked hoses and large ome was completed blocked by a building block and trash!

It's been about a year and a half. Good product for the price. Shark liftaway in aqua. Today I took off the wand, put on an attachment, vacuumed but when I went to re-insert the wand, it would not fully push down to lock in. There is a small metal piece in back where the wand attaches that is not allowing it to fully engage.

My biggest problem is the short, stiff hose, and the lack of a standard brush attachment. To vacuum something other than the floor, you have to carry the unit around with the other hand. Also, there is no adjustment for the height of the brush roller.

I've had mine for several years. I love it. I had always had the wider ones, but this one is perfect for getting in areas without moving everything. Lifting the canister off is simple, making it easier to vacuum the stairs. I vacuum everyday and it's still going strong! Now, all I need is to replace the hose.

Very Disappointed in this vacuum. It was heavier than I expected. I have low pile carpet in my house and even after adjusting the airflow on the handle it still sucked up the area rug and got stuck on it. I either need to buy new area rugs or another vacuum. My other Shark was lightweight and would do a great job on the area rugs. I guess I should have just bought the same one I used before.

This is the worst vacuum I've ever owned. It's top heavy so it's difficult to maneuver. Also, since the container is in the front and it protrudes so far out it doesn't fit under any furniture, even pieces that are high off the floor. The attachments are useless. They don't move and adjust while cleaning, and the vacuum doesn't move with you either, it just falls over. I hate it. I will never buy another Shark vacuum, EVER.

I liked this vacuum until the belt broke. It takes unscrewing 8 screws to get to the belt. 3 of them I could not get to unscrew. Plus you need a specialty screw driver to do it, as it's not a basic Phillips head or flat head screw type. I will not buy this one again or recommend it. Very frustrating!

Bulky and hard to turn

Really sad about this purchase. The vacuum is bulky and super hard to push on carpet. It does not have a good turn radius and I hate that it doesn’t have a light on the front. I will be trying to return even though I have only used it once.

I wish I would have read the other reviews prior to purchasing. I was in a hurry to purchase because my other vacuum, another Shark, suction stopped working suddenly, even after attempted repair. That model was only about 14 months old. The NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe vacuum is VERY difficult to push on medium pile carpeting. It is fine on very flat pile. It's not easy to manuever as well, whether on carpeting or hardwood floors. It's bulky and awkward. I do NOT recommend the NV360. I doubt I will buy another Shark after these 2 bad experiences, with 2 different models. The Shark does not compare at all to a Dyson, regarding design, usability, and performance. There is a reason that Dyson costs more and has such a loyal customer base.

I am rearranging my home. I had been using a Eureka for 2 years. But I bought this and went over where that other vac had been used during those 2 years. This vac blew my other out of the water! I went over the same spots 3 times and it picked up so much more. Glides easily. Powerful suction. Just all around wonderful. Just like every other Shark product I've owned, this vacuum DID NOT disappoint me. I'm a Shark girl for life. I would even go so far as to say I prefer it over Dyson. LOVE IT!!

Bought this today and I am returning it. It is extremely difficult to push on carpeting. It also takes up many fibers from the carpet itself. Worst vacuum I ever purchased. Also the cord is not very long and difficult to work with.

This Shark is a complete design failure. Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe?? Not deluxe for sure. It feels like it weighs more than a truck; this Bulky design can make it very hard to maneuver. The collection cannister holds onto the cat hair it picks up and will release from the inside plastic without manual intervention, and resulting dirty hands pulling it out. I used old Model NV22L26 for over 10 years with good results; hence purchasing a new Shark thinking of the same design and efficiency. What a disappointing difference! Everything about it feels heavy and bulky and very hard to push. Takes me twice as long with this vacuum to finish same floor area as the old one. I wish I could return it but it is so heavy to pack up! I'm wondering if this Review will be answered??
