It is weirdly hard to find a toaster that...um...toasts! This one toasts great on one side and hardly at all on the other. (Cut bread and flipped one over so you can see.) On the plus side: slices fit easily, toaster is heavy enough to sit steady, and controls are easy to use. Looks fine.

Nice that my favorite bread fits all the way across and all the way up. Pushing the one-slice button hasn't turned off one side or another so IDK if it's a gimmick or faulty. Either way, on it's first day, it toasted like a champ.

This toaster has 2 extra wide and extra long slots for thick slices of bread or bagels, but you can also select the 1 slice button of your trying to cut down your carbs. It has 7 levels of browning for your pleasure. It also has a feature, "Toast Boost," where you lift the handle and the toast is easily retrievable.

Simple but solid toaster

And that turned out to be true, because 1) this toaster has large enough opening that bread made from my bread machine will fit with some space, and 2) the result was matching expectation that at the highest level, you'll get lovely brown toast, and at the mid-level you'll get half-level toast (at least the level that I expected). And although I didn't move it much, it's not spewing breadcrumbs when I happen to move it, which is big plus. This doesn't have a lot of features but it does its work well. I'm happy with this toaster.

The knob feels solid, but not too loose so you can easily adjust how long the bread toasts in the toaster. The cancel function works perfectly, and the bagel function is perfect when you want to toast your bagels. The slot is nice and wide so you can put a variety of bread in it, like Texas toast.
