Great coffee pot!
Love this pot. Coffee is hot and the carafe keeps the coffee hot. Timer feature is really nice. You can set it up at night for the morning.

10 Cup Thermal Coffee Maker
The coffee pot works pretty well and I do really like the metal decanter. That said, the decanter seems to leak when I pour the coffee at least for the first pour. Second, I am to a huge fan of the fact that there is no heater for the decanter. I understand the coffee stays hotter for longer in this style of a decanter, but after 4 - 6 hours, it starts to cool down and the only way to heat it back up at that point is the microwave. I like when the decanter sits on a burner that I can control and turn on and off to keep the coffee warm or hot throughout the day.

Good coffeemaker
I am enjoying my new Cuisinart Coffeemaker. It makes a good cup of coffee, with just the right temperature. My only dissatisfaction is with setting up the coffee. Water container has a small spout and is clumsy to fill. Unit needs to be turned sideways to fill in order to watch the water level measurement. While I enjoy the end result, I will probably look for a different style next purchase.

Nice Cuisinart 10 cup
I’ve been using my new Cuisinart 10 cup coffeemaker for a few weeks. I like the 10 cup size and simple design. You brew the coffee, then the heating element shuts off and the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot. This works well for me. Cuisinart’s been a quality, long lasting brand for me and I hope this coffee maker will last a long time too.

Nice Coffee Maker. But not perfect
Makes great coffee, keeps it warm in the thermal carafe. One major drawback is that it is awkward to fill the reservoir with water due to the lid design, which limits access to the top of the tank.

changed from 12 cup thermal to 10 cup thermal
After using 12 cup for years I changed to 10 cup. The biggest difference is 12 cup kept coffee hot for 8 hours, 10 cup only 4 hours, after that warm. The dial vs buttons is different. 12 cup exterior was srainless steel and 10 cup is black plastic making it lighter. Both allow water to drip when paused but not much. I hope this won't rust out the plate at the bottom like happened to my 12 cup.

The World’s Worst Cup of Coffee
I recently received this new cuisinart model coffee maker for a Christmas gift. It replaced a completely functional 20+ year old Cuisinart coffee maker (model # DTC 975 BKN) that I still used everyday. This new model I now have is a big disappointment. Using the exact formula of coffee grind/water blend, I have found the coffee to have a bitter taste. I have also tried to strengthen the blend, use bottled water, add salt, etc., but the coffee taste is awful. I have used this new coffee maker at least once a day if not twice a day since Christmas and it is not improving. Another complaint I have, which is just as important as the first, is the coffee temperature. Cuisinart has designed this new coffee maker to make a pot of coffee in record time. For the exact same amount of coffee I had in my old model, this new coffee maker makes my 8 cup of coffee, almost 2 minutes quicker! What’s the hurry? When I pour it from the decanter into a cup of coffee, it is 132°. My old coffee maker poured out at a temperature of 151°. I enjoy my coffee, hot and with the new coffee maker it isn’t that way, which allows your cup to become cold quicker and the taste goes downhill from there. Lastly, it has this beeping alarm to indicate when the brewing process is over. It worked for the first day or two but now you can hardly hear it! My old Cuisinart sounds as good today as the day it was when I first got it. I’m truly disappointed in this product and definitely would NOT recommend getting one.

Product Quality
This is our 4th 10 Cup Cuisinart Classic Coffee Maker. The quality of the product is excellent. Only one has worn out after many years of daily use. The carafes are dependable to main the temperature for several hours. we have tried other brands in the past without such outstanding results.

Not working
I have just purchased the DCC-1170 10 Cup Thermal Carafe Coffee maker. Used it 1x on the auto function which worked fine. However, after the coffee was prepared, the screen now shows “ErL” and won’t reset to use.

Another Cuisinart
We have owned a cuisinart coffe maker for years. We decided to purchase another for our new residence. It consisting gives us great coffee and it’s easy to program. There might be better coffee makers out there but with Cuisinart I know exactly what I’m getting. A reasonable great coffee maker

Great coffee maker and absolutely love the thermal carafe
Love this coffee maker! Doesn’t take up much room, looks really nice on the counter and the best part is the thermal coffee carafe! Haven’t been able to find many with thermal carafe before but with kids it’s an absolute must, I can make myself a pot in the morning and it will stay warm and nice for a long long time. With regular glass carafe the coffee always burned after 1,5h. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because the way they designed the carafe makes it hard to get everything out of it when pouring, you have to turn it upside down in order to get all of it out.

Cuisinart Lights Up Our Kitchen
We don’t use the auto feature, even though we add coffee and water the night before. My wife insists on using the screen and the paper filter even after I showed her the operation booklet. The clock light is brighter with this model. This is our 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker.

3rd Time - not charming!
I bought the latest of 3 10 cup Cuisinart thermal coffee pots 6 months ago. They’ve been our favorite model over the years. This latest one started acting up 3 months ago. It turns off while brewing; it toggles between off and on and is difficult to turn on, requiring additional juggling to get it going to brew a pot. Also it signals coffee ready quite frequently when the control knob is anywhere near Brew. What’s a dedicated customer to do?

I coulda been a (5) star, Ma!
This should have been a five-star coffee maker. The brand is excellent, with a strong warranty and great service. I love the carafe. I thought 10 cups would be enough, but once the teens started drinking coffee, it suddenly felt small. The lid tends to jam and gets tight after a while, and it’s awkward to find the right spot to screw it on. On my first unit, the main control knob failed—it became buggy, imprecise, and the machine would sometimes turn back on after finishing a batch. The worst design flaw is the fill area. They tucked it into the back corners: the left side holds a carbon filter (a nice touch), but the right side has the water level indicator. If you overfill past the line, you’ll be mopping up the overflow. Even worse, reaching that right-hand corner requires using your left hand—not great for us right-handers. That said, the machine does brew excellent coffee. It has a small-batch button for 1–4 cups, keeps coffee hot for a long time, includes a cleaning cycle, and allows preprogrammed brew times with easy-to-use buttons. Overall, it’s a solid machine and a good value for the price. I just hope the company continues to improve on its design flaws.

Great but….
I would give this unit 5 stars as I like the fact it does not keep cooking the coffee as others do but unlike the last couple versions of this unit I have had I hate hate hate where you pour the water in. No good way not to have water go down the side of unit and other places…..ugh. And I just realized as a result of this the bottom is rusting out, so time to buy a new one and I have to really think about if I want another of these….

Thermal coffee carafe very good
I like the fact that this is thermal and I do not need to worry about glass. However, the thermal carafe does not keep the coffee as hot for as long as I wish.

Pretty but not functional
Nice appearance, easy programming, but design not tested! Carafe must be turned upside down to empty because of shape holding contents until inverted. That makes impossible to use the carafe to fill the tank. The lid of the tank, prevents carafe from being inverted right over small portal to fill tank. Nobody tested this! Lid of carafe has almost no way to grip and lift off of carafe when opening.
