Accurate Calorie Counts
Detects my ride on my Life Fitness Elliptical Crosstrainer and counts steps and is extremely accurate when counting calories. Today's count on the elliptical's meter was 800 while the VivoSmart 5 counted 802. Last ride was 801 and 798. I'm amazed. And while the elliptical doesn't count steps, the 9000+ for my 80 minutes seems reasonable. Enjoy the heart rate monitor too, which also seems reasonable.

Not Perfect
I had to replace my old one and did not give it a second thought. Getting it to talk to my iPhone has been a huge issue. The form you use only has numbers, so I have no idea how to add a"B" to it, and there are no directions I could find telling me how.

We bought the Garmin vívosmart® 5 (White, Small/Medium), and honestly, I’m not a huge fan. The battery life is disappointing and doesn’t last nearly as long as expected. It tracks fine, but for the price, I wish we’d gone with the next model up in the Garmin line.

It has nice features but the battery drains quickly. For the price I thought it would be better than it is, I am disappointed .

I am only wearing this because my Samsung watch is not compatible with a certain health app I have to use for my insurance. There no auto pause feature for activities. I wear my Galaxy watch and this every day.

Simple & Full Featured-Odd Charging Cord
Got this through my healthcare provider’s wellness program. Simple set up & easy to use. I like that it doesn’t take up a lot of space on my wrist. Regarding the Charging cord, I’m a little disappointed: 1) it’s only about 2 ft long & should be a little longer, and 2) it appears to be some oddball proprietary connection to the device which means if you loose the cord that came with the device, you’ll be forced to go to Garmin for a replacement… kinda irritating… hence only 4 stars.

Works, but missing key opportunities
Purchased this as my old Fit Bit HR stopped working. Wanted something more than the Google Fitbit app. Garmin has a slightly better app. But none color screen, larger, and a slightly worse battery life. Also, the default views of the watch face are all less than useful. Support takes a few days via email, or through chat is pretty good.

From VivoSmart 3 to VivoSmart 5
I like it. I miss my slim line Vivo Smart 3 that has been discontinued. I tried to get a replacement since mine was so worn but was told it was discontinued. I hoped to go from one product to the other but having difficulty. It says my watch is not tight enough to take my sleep reading and those are the ones I'm most interested in. Hopefully this will iron out but if not, I'll look elsewhere. I love Garmin but so frustrated at the loss of the Vivo Smart3 slim unit.

Charging Problems
I have to charge my Vivosmart almost everyday. The charge doesn't last a whole week as advertised. Therefore, I am missing my goals because I am taking my Vivosmart 5, offline to charge it. I Do like the features but it's not as effective as my old Vivofit 4 (very difficult to change battery due to tiny screws), that lasted about a year .

Nice upgrade
I had a vivosmart 4 for 2.5 years. Simply loved it for the size. I have small wrists. searched for a replacement and learned that the same was no longer manufactured. Although hesitant, I ordered the vivosmart5. This one has a some new features and it is easy to set up. The only thing that is least appealing is that it needs charging more frequently. Glad I had a wall charging station to fit the cord. Had to purchase a new charger for my car in case of travel.

Not happy
I bought this about weeks ago. I do not like this product at all. At one time when I moved my arm I could see the time. Then all of a sudden that changed. It is not user friendly. Trying to delete or change settings has been a pain and I have not been able to do so.
