Disappointing
Wanted love this coffee maker, but it was very disappointing. Very slow to brew, does not heat or keep the coffee hot, and turns off in 2 hours without the ability to adjust the timer. Had to go back to the old coffee maker until we find a better option.

Water leaks
It's a mess. Poor manufacturing. Water keeps dripping on the burner when pulling out the pot. Not from the filter holder itself but the water goes underneath it. Too late to return. Very upset because the relaxation of having coffee in the morning turns into an aggravated mess.

Great coffeemaker poor basket lid design
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) got this about a month ago, love the features on this maker, the spiral head design works great to brew a great pot of coffee. The easy set clock and display on the side is a great change from other makers. Only issue is the basket lid, it is hollow in design due to the lid having a screw in interior cover for the spiral head to slide in, thus steam collects into water so when you lift it after brewing the water drips out, sometimes into the basket, sometimes over the side of the maker and or collects on top by hinge or all three. This design could be improved to an in closed track instead of an open 3/8ths inch gap. Another great feature is the two button turn on as in the morning you can come out and don’t have to look, just press the one on the front bottom as it is the only thing there, no looking or thinking! Nice. The detachable water resevior is great too with a wide lid so you can fill it by either pouring in or taking to the tap, no spills and big target. We also like that you can use cone filters as I don’t like cleaning the permanent filters, although nice to have incase run out.

I love the look and functionality
I bought my coffee pot in September because I fell in love with its appearance. It is sleek, it is different and the style with buttons on the side and front are very functional. What forces me to rate it as a 3 is the mess it makes when you open the lid to replace the coffee filter. The water drains down both sides of the lid and puddles then runs, making a mess.

Happy with this coffee maker!
So far, I'm impressed with the performance. I typically only brew about 5 cups, mostly every day and have no complaints on the quality of brew, and I've tried most every strength of coffee. Only a few design elements keep this from being better yet. The carafe lid does not detach easily for cleaning, I've been leaving it on and it's a bit awkward. The handle allows soap to get between it and the glass when cleaning; in time this may become an issue. It takes up a lot of counter space, so keep that in mind if you have to move it. Like others, I've noted that a lot of condensation drips when you open the lid to empty the filter basket, I leave the lid up to dry for quite some time after brewing. The timer on the burner has only been an issue a few times, I'd recommend using a thermos for those who don't want to leave a smaller amount of coffee on the burner plate. It also does take a longer time to brew than our prior drip coffee maker, but it hasn't been a big issue for the most part. I'm happy with the purchase

The coffee maker is an excellent purchase!! I absolutely love the water dispenser being see-through and removable. I have purchased other brands many times in the past, and KitchenAid is by far the best!! This goes for all their products.

Quit Workinf after 1 Month
Aesthetic coffee maker but I didn’t even own this 1 month and it went out. Just creates a ton of steam and brews 4 cups of coffee max no matter how much water I put in. If I try to restart it, it ends like there is no water in the carafe. I hope I can return this because I am very disappointed.

Do not buy this. I’ve contacted the company several times. They do not replace the carafe. It beeps too early. The bottom of the water reserve tank leaks when trying to carry it back to the machine. Pretty. But that’s it

Disappointed
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am disappointed with this purchase. The coffee will only stay hot for a 2-hour period and the machine cannot be programmed to extend that time , so if like me, you like to drink coffee over an extended period, you either have to nuke it or drink it cold. As well, the volume measurement on the carafe doesn’t match the measurement on the water container. Finally, after the coffee is brewed, a significant amount of water pools on the rim of the apparatus where you insert the coffee filter and has to be mopped up.

Disappointed
This coffee maker works great except when I open the lid a few tablespoons of hot water run down the sides and into the coffee basket. I have tried everything that Kitchenaid recommended, it didn't work and they won't repair or replace this coffee maker, because they said this is normal. I have had many Kitchenaid coffee makers and this is the first time I've had an issue that they won't take care of because the company is now owned by Whirlpool. Kitchenaid had awesome customer service, Whirlpool does not.

Several issues first few days
Every time we have brewed coffee we'd had issues. 1) the grinds explode our of the filter 2) the machine appears to be done brewing and when we remove the carafe it releases coffee everywhere I want to like this machine bc it's sleek design but regretting this purchase.
