Great Toaster!
I’m really enjoying my new Cuisinart toaster! It toastes evenly and very easy to set it to the darkness/lightness that I want. It looks very nice sitting on my counter and matches my other appliances.

Uneven
We had an old Black & Decker toaster that conked out on us, and thought we would kick it up a notch with the stainless steel Cuisinart. Sadly, it doesn’t toast very quickly, and more importantly, not evenly at all.

Toasts quite well
I'm glad we purchased this toaster, though I wish the selector dial felt more firm, and landed right where you want it to land. It's a bit soft, but you just have to watch where it is. Hard to know exactly what # to choose, but we're finding out what # NOT to choose. I toasted frozen waffles, chose the frozen button, and the bottom half of the waffle was really dark, the top much less so. It's a learning curve, I guess. But it has nice heft to it and cord is a good length. Overall, we're pleased.

Disappointed in the quality
Very thin and flimsy - especially for the price. I usually buy Cuisinart for quality, but this is as thin as a tin can

Not the best Popper-Upper
Disappointed in the "pop-up" feature, as the toast does not energetically pop up after toasting. Quite often have to use tongs to get the toast out or you have to hold up the plunger manually.

Widow perfect size !

Should be called a bread warmer
This toaser does not toast, it merely warms the bread, even on the highest setting and ir is very slow at that. Give Cuisinart credit for replacing the first one but the second one didn't work any better.

Not What I expected.
It takes multiple times to get the lever to stay down and does not toast consistently. Same bread, same setting is barely toasted or burnt. Never the same. The setting does not seem to work and never has. Totally disappointed. I haven't had a year and it's headed to the town dump. I expected more from Cuisinart. The price was very reasonable but I guess you get what you pay for.

Regrettable Purchase
Regrettably I wouldn't make this purchase again, the exterior gets too hot to touch when being used and not all the elements internally get hot. My feeling is that for the money I'm disappointed with the purchase and wish it could be returned. I took the toaster back to the point of purchase but they told me that since it had been used they would not take it back. I'm stuck for now every morning with a toaster that is a disappointment hoping it will fail so I can go shopping for another.

1. There should be some explanation of the uses for the button choices. "Bagel" does what? Toasts one side? 2. I miss the feel of quality. Cuisine Art products look and feel solid, stable.

We like most everything about this toaster but are disappointed that this model takes two runs through to toast an English Muffin. Our previous Cuisinart model had to be placed at near maximum but had a Muffin button that toasted it on a single run.

Bent when we got it
After using it 2 times the bar that raises the toast "basket" stopped coming up. Looks like it was bent when we got it.
