This model does not have cool sides. I live in fear of re-entacting the morning I accidentally pushed a loaf of white bread against the toaster and it became tattooed with plastic reverse of the logo that said "rednoW".

Cuisinart is a good brand, so of course the toaster is good, handsome, and well made. My only problem is that if the piece of bread I insert is not big enough, the toaster does not pop it up enough for me to grab it. Instead, I have to get hot mits and reach in to pull it up.

2 Slice Metal Classic Toaster CPT-160P1 We only had for a year and the drop down lever doesn't work properly. It doesn't stay down when does have to push up manually and the lever when not down doesn't stay to top. Not able to use and it was expensive toaster . Had before for years before it gave out. And trying to get wzrrenty say Paige not there 404 Really would hope to get some kind of help with replacement. Call and see Hope to get a reply on how to get refund or new one . Cuisinart is a reliable brand normally. Hate giving negative review.

This toaster feels cheaper than the previous one my wife and I were using. The drop lever is touchy and one has to push slowly for it to catch. We expect this toaster will not last as long as our previous one.

Sorry, we owned an earlier version of this same model, which broke after many years. The replacement is a cheaply made substitute for the original. But it seems to me that you must know that. In any case, we returned it and purchased a Breville two-slice toaster, which is a much more substantial product.

Darkness knob is very loose, which makes it hard to adjust. After using toaster daily for two weeks, it still has a hot smell of plastic or hot wires. I don’t know that I feel like it’s safe to keep.

Looks good. That's about it. Seems flimsy, especially for $50. Average width bread is too wide for slots!!! Edges of bread shave off as you try to insert bread into slots. Would not buy again. Our old Farberware toaster was heavier and lasted a few decades.
