Loud revving down
I got mine as a gift March 2022 and 4 years later mine is telling me its had enough. I only use on 1 area rug and once a year on my mother in laws carpets. Last time I used it I noticed it making a loud noise. I do have a puppy and she missed her pee pad and got some on the area rug, so I decided to shampoo it, noticed it didnt sound normal. I turned it off and it was revying down loud and long and it really sounds like its going to die on me. Its never made this sound before. I really do love my shampooer but am disappointed

The 2nd Smartwash+ That Broke On Me
This is the second SmartWash I have owned. I have one carpet in my entire hone, an 8x12 rug in the living room,so it's not like the cleaner gets a lot of use. Anyway, the first cleaner lasted a year, this one lasted 4 uses before the nozzle in front of the machine broke. Same as last time: I now have 2 broken springs and 1 plastic nub in my hand and a carpet cleaner that no longer works. Again!!.What a waste of money!!

Leaves large amounts of water on the floor
I have another one of these in Pennsylvania, I bought this for my FL home, the front piece covering the brushes failed to stay on. I used this all the time at home and I like it despite the fact that it keeps spraying solution all the item unless youre in reverse. This thing sprays too much water on the floor or doesnt pick it up . I had to take all the water out of the dispenser in order to get it to pick up all the water

Exceptional machine!!
Best carpet cleaner!! I have cream colored carpet with 2 Dobermans and an English bulldog and let me tell you this gets the every mess out and makes my carpet look like new! I purchased 3 different ones prior to this one and I will never go back to anything else! Hoover please keep making this one!

Gave this 4 stars because the directions are not clear or detailed enough. But the unit works well once you figure out the tanks and making sure you have them on tight.

I read a lot of reviews on these products. I saw one that said “just buy it!” I did and it’s great. I didn’t want a giant machine, this machine is pretty compact, and super easy to clean after each use. I mainly use it for small spots left by my evil dog or cleaning a hallway or a small bedroom. I also used the handheld attachment to clean the carpet in my car which worked out well.

This item is amazing! The best investment I’ve ever purchased. I’ve been in my apartment for four years and my apartment complex does not do a good job at coming in to clean our carpet so I finally bought a carpet cleaner and I am amazed. I love it. My carpet is like new thank you Hoover.

Hands down best carpet cleaner!
Amazing! The large water tanks allow you to do multiple rooms. The suction for water removal is the best I’ve found. It’s easy to use with having to hold a trigger and the size allows you to finish quickly. I absolutely love that you can fully open the dirty water tank up allowing you to clean it out properly and that the bottom hood on the Brussels comes off to fully clean and remove any hair or fiber stuck there. The triple brushes works wonders. Highly recommend.

Works almost too well
With 2 kids and 2 dogs, we should be cleaning our rugs way more than we do. Renting a big machine just wasn't practical, so I purchased this after doing some research and reading reviews. It works SO well. Almost too well. Even after vacuuming my living room rug with a Dyson on full blast, I wanted to gag at the amount of dirt and dog hair this pulled up. I texted my husband pictures of the filthy dark brown water as well. GROSS! Anyways, buy this for the price of a professional cleaning one of your rugs one time, but just to warn you it can get addictive once you see how filthy your rugs really are.

So far so good
I like it so far. The smell isn’t fantastic but I’m happy it’s not gross. I was surprised at how much dirt it picked up since we’ve had our carpet power washed be professionals 2-3 times in the past two months. So it’s a keeper. Any chance I can use it on my mattress? Also, I’ve been looking for the anti-allergen solution and it’s sold out everywhere. Is it discontinued? What can I use instead?

I like how it automatically knows when to use the cleaner instead of me holding down a button. I also like how you can use the "dry only" option. My only recommendation would be for a longer cord.

Excellent upgrade
I have had a hoover carpet cleaner for over 20 years, and I had two of the same kind. The last one over 10 years, but it was time for an upgrade. This is an amazing upgrade. It is lightweight, easy to use just like the other ones and really got the carpet clean! I am so glad I made this purchase. I know I will have it for years to come.
