The digital numbers for the cups are not clear. I have to scroll through the numbers to eventually figure out the number I’m looking for. Also, the C ON CAFE has peeled off even though I don’t wash the base of the machine. The shiny rim at the base where the coffee comes out seems rusty in 2 places. The spout makes no sense because there’s a complete rim inside the pot which prevents coffee from coming out smoothly. Poor design. It’s a handsome machine and makes fine coffee but poor design and poor quality materials. The is an additional complaint. While In the process of descaling my machine, I noticed the copper covering on the top of the handle area is bubbling in 2 places and will eventually crack and chip off.

We have really enjoyed the look of this coffee maker and the coffee it produces, but after less than three years the copper coating on handle is flaking off making it dangerous to handle the carafe without getting scraped. Extremely disappointing quality, especially considering the cost of this product.

Love this coffee maker and it looks beautiful on my counter, but the carafe withthe rose gold peeled terribly and I cannot get a replacement for it. This was not a cheap coffee maker and I am terribly dissapointed since I live in GE's backyard and my son worked for GE before COVID. Not happy!!!

This coffee maker is garbage! If you use this machine with a filter the wire filter will not drain fast enough, the grounds float up getting all over the shower head and spilling over down into the carafe. If you do not use a filter, you can avoid this ONLY by brewing 5 cups or less at a time. Anything more than 5 and you will have the same problem. I've had this machine for almost 2 years dealing with this garbage. I would NEVER recommend this machine. I wish I could leave negative star reviews, but since 1 star is as low as I can go I'll settle for that.

We appreciate you reaching out to share your experience with your Café coffeemaker. We recommend using 1 level scoop (included with the unit) per cup of coffee to be brewed. Using heaping scoops can cause the issue you described. Use either the mesh basket filter (included) or a No. 4 paper filter (not included) and place into the brew basket insert. Do not use both. We recommend the use of a minimum of a medium grind coffee. Any finer grind can lead to the overflow issue you described. The Material on this Carafe is absolute Carafe is absolute garbage! If it weren't for it being so expensive I'd throw it away. While the machine works great, the materials that are used on the handle of the carafe won't last you 6 months

First off, I love this coffee maker. It performed as advertised, great coffee. Smart WiFi ability is sooo nice to have. Unfortunately, all of the gold/copper colored appliqué is peeling off, the handle is falling apart, the cup indicator lights only partially work making it difficult to read. I would say the quality is poor, overall. For the price, this coffee maker should last many years. Ours is falling apart after almost 3 years!! These appear to be known issues and GE should replace the units. Or, lower the price significantly. Will be exploring other options going forward

The overall function is fine but I have had this replaced for finish issues and now the second one has finish issues as well. I paid extra to have something aesthetically pleasing on my countertop but now it just looks cheap. I got the matching air fryer as well.

I’ve only had this coffee machine for a couple of months, and I already noticed a strong moldy smell coming from the water reservoir. I tried running multiple cycles with diluted vinegar, but the smell is still there. It’s extremely disappointing, especially considering how much money I spent. I honestly feel I would have been better off with a cheaper coffee maker.

Overall its makes very good coffee, but I can't recommend it thus far because the original one I received broke within a year, which falls within the warranty. This allowed me to have it replaced pretty easily, but less than a year later again, the replacement is now faulty. Even though it's less than a year from when I got this new machine, it's not within the warranty from the original purchase so they won't replace. This is frustrating for what seemed like a good coffee maker. If you want the coffee maker to last more than a year, you may want to try something else.

This product was purchased for our anniversary. My husband does not drink coffee nor could he figure out how to reset the time on my old coffee maker. However when he found out that this one had the thermal pot like I wanted again and connected to the appliance app he was excited. I have been please with the capacity along with how fast it brews. Since we live on a farm I like the fact it has a replaceable filter and the materials used to make the pot seem to be high quality. My coffee was still hot today over 4 hours after it was made.

The white matte carafe is already scratched after only a few days of use It has a bad design flaw about the water reservoir. You cant remove it or clean it. It collects mold because it has a trim that does not allow you to clean it. You need a pitcher to fill in the water reservoir as opposed to something removable.

The coffee is being brewed thru plastic until it goes into the craft. It is very hard to clean. I would like to exchange for a stainless version. But the coffee is very good.

I absolutely love my cafe’ specialty brewer. I will admit I bought it for the aesthetics and didn’t expect a whole lot from it other than how it looks, but it brews an amazing cup of coffee and the thermal carafe does an excellent job at keeping the coffee warm as my husband wakes up several hours earlier than I do.

Bought this from another retailer a couple of years ago. It looks great but that is about it. Coffee stays warm for 20 to 30 minutes at best. Descaling is a joke, the light never shuts off . The company support is a joke. Kind of we’ve got your money and you've got our defective product and we don’t have an answer on how to fix your problem. A big expensive mistake!

There is no heater under the thermal carafe, so once the coffee is brewed, it will slowly lose heat. The coffee stays hot due to the vacuum seal thermal carafe. The thermal carafe retains the heat of the coffee for a minimum of 1 hour after brewing. We want you to be happy with your purchase. This is stunningly beautiful and efficient design. I brew my first café and it came out to be delicious coffee very quiet and fast. I’m happy that he has multiple settings for what type of strength you like in your coffee And even how hot or not you want the water to be! Excited and happy about my purchase!
