Difficult coffee pot lid.
Disappointment in the coffee pot. The keurig side is fine, but the carafe is extremely difficult to open. It has a plastic lid that slides closed. With the heat, I have to use a tool or gripper to open and close it. If the lid is not closed all the way, the coffee leaks out on the counter.

Cuisinart 10 Cup thermal coffeemaker
Coffee maker is easy to operate, the coffee taste is really good. It's a little hard filling the urn with water from an in-door refrigerator water dispenser due to the thick thermal urn but I just use the glass urn from my previous Cuisinart to fill the water tank. I love being able to make a pot of coffee or a cup. For some the thermal urn may be heavy but I like it as it keeps the coffee hot.

Makes good beverages, but has glaring design flaws
At the end of the say, this is a pretty good coffee maker…that is, it brews coffee well in both the carafe and the k-cup brewers. There are 2 design flaws that are, IMO inexcusable, hence the 3 star rating. The single cup brewer leaks. It just does, it’s well known. It’s not just mine. I’ve actually now had 3 of these machines (2nd was a warranty replacement of the 1st, 3rd is the SS Carafe I ‘upgraded’ to after giving the 2nd one to our son & DIL). All 3 have leaked in the same way. It’s something that we can live with as it’s not debilitating, but it is a design flaw they refuse to address. The 2nd flaw is just absurdly bewildering. The water filter in the reservoir basically does nothing! It sits well above and unattached to the intake. Water just flows around and underneath it. It is NOT filtering water. It is bewildering to me that an engineer designed this and that the design was approved. It’s literally, completely useless. I guess they thought they’d dupe people into selling more filters? Either way it’s an inexcusable design ‘flaw’ (I quote ‘flaw’ because it HAD to be intentional. It’s completely obvious.)

Carafe side quit working.
We bought this item about 6 months ago (mid-late 2025) and suddenly the carafe side won’t make coffee. This is the 2nd one that has failed. The other one lasted a few years.

Disappointed
I wanted to love this but I couldn’t. I wanted to move from single to dual machine so started here. I read reviews that the coffee lacked flavor due to the fast brew technique and found this to be true. The carafe was heavy and I wasn’t able to use the carafe to fill the reservoir because the rim inside of the carafe is so wide that water doesn’t pour completely out. I am not sure how to clean the pot. I have always had Cuisinart coffee makers so I’ve returned this and will try another.

Mornings Just Got Better
After years of settling for my wife’s favorite coffee with our standard coffee maker … she gifted me the Cuisinart 2-in-1 10 cup Coffee Center with a single serve option using pods OR single serve grinds of MY favorite brew. I like my coffee with chicory in the traditional style of my hometown, New Orleans. Mornings just got better with our Cuisinart. My wife still gets her favorite medium roast coffee … but now I no longer settle for her coffee … I enjoy my 12 ounce single serve of a dark roast cafe au lait. A tip for the guys … our Cuisinart is so simple to use that I’ve become my wife’s personal coffee barista … serving her first cup in bed every morning. A happy wife means a happy life! Improved from Earlier Versions
Love the thermal coffee pot. So much better than glass. This version has improvements such as a flip down “shelf” for single serve, ability to pick different amounts for single serve, and less leaking of water. Looks great too!

Great Space Saver!

Stopped working
At just a month old the carafe side has stopped working. Really disappointed and considering a different brand as a repurchase. I jave used cuisinart coffee makers for over 20 years but the last 2 units I have had just do not last considering the price paid.

Good features, if you can use them
I am not happy, the water holder for single cups, leaks and is annoying.. I spent good money, not buying this product again…..thanks
