Cheaply made!
I received this model for Christmas, 7 days in and the plunger and spring stop on the Removable Brew Basket broke.

Weak coffee and strange sound
Worked great until it didn't. After about 6 months it would flas "clean" when I turned it on. I cleaned it twice but it never went away. After about another month it started making a strange sound. I also feel like it suddenly brewing weak coffee. Very frustrating and disappointed.

Love this machine, except...
I have been buying this model for years. My only complaint is the spring in bottom of brew basket breaks easily. You should include either extra spring and washers in box or sell the brew baskets everywhere the pot is sold. Generic replacement springs are hard to put in and not as good as original, break even faster

Yet another great appliance!
I've had this coffeemaker for several years, and have been very happy with it. I've been a Black & Decker girl for as long as I can remember, and have several different appliances/other B&D items - and it is the first manufacturer I look for when purchasing these items. It sadly seems so unusual that there are still companies who actually provide great quality appliances and truly seem to care about the customers...something that doesn't happen much any more :(. Thank you for the effort!

My coffee pot is a good one . It co makes good coffee can add 2 full scoops of coffee and it is very good. I also have a black and decker under cabinet can opener. I got it in 1987 it is still working very good. Starting to have a few problems. But I will get another one like it.

Lots of coffee grinds
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this coffee pot less than a month ago and although I enjoy how fast it can brew a pot of coffee, the coffee grinds that are in my cup each morning is not worth the hassle. I have the purchased the correct size paper filters, and yet still have this issue. Not sure why this particular pot has this issue but I would not recommend it.

Crap
It's cheap for a reason. Had it for less than a year, 5 usages per week, and the heating element burnt out.

Okay, but we'll see about how long it lasts.
We have, over the last 20 years, owned four of this model type. The first lasted far longer than the following two, each succeeding one less so. It makes good coffee. So, I have ordered another after the last one lasted only about two years. Why? It's relatively inexpensive. I still have the first one, as ugly-dirty as it is, as a back-up which I used today. Let's see how long this new one will last.

auto-shutoff saves me!
Basic auto-drip that lasts forever! Replaced it only after moving from well water to city water because the well water left a sediment I couldn't clean out. Clock, timer, auto shut off - great features!

Product is backed by a company with integrity
Ok so the first one we got had a manufacturing defect, which was surprising to me because of the crazy number of positive reviews the product had. This, by itself, would not have caused me to give the product five stars. However, they didn’t hesitate to stand behind their product. Few people and even fewer organizations on this earth still have integrity, and black & decker is one of them. They sent me a new one without it costing an additional penny, and it works beautifully.

Careful may cause serious burns!!
I used it three times and it overheated the pot after removing a cup full from the coffee pot and it heated to about 250 degrees Fahrenheit, I took a sip of my coffee after putting in cold coffee creamer and burned my lips and tongue!! I was extremely unhappy and in excruciating pain!!

carafe lid should be removable
Very disappointed that the carafe brew lid does not come off as it makes it very difficult to put into the dishwasher. Otherwise good product
