A: Yes, I bought it. It is great overall and has minor issues from time to time. Wouldn’t reccomend heavy use though.

I have two little (wild) boys and a new puppy and STAINS galore. It truly made our carpet look brand new… it looks better than when we hired professionals to clean it before. 1000000% going to purchase this myself!

Some stains I didn't notice until I dedicated an entire day to cleaning my carpet throughout my house, so not sure how long they were there. Every stain I had came out and never came back. I recommend 100%.

Q: What is the water temperature? Heatwave Technology is not an answer and sounds like marketing/PR propaganda. Define HWT and answer the water temperature question!

A: As you noted, this cleaner uses our HeatWave Technology and does not have a water heater in it. HeatWave Technology helps to maintain the temperature of the water placed in the clean tank. We recommend using hot but not boiling or microwaved tap water in the machine.

A: I have cleaned my daughters ceramic tiled kitchen floors with it because she has a long haired dog. It gets so much dog hair up that I am shocked. I sweep and get up as much as I can before hand and still it finds dog hair. A little messy but wow those floors are clean afterward.

A: I've done it before, make sure you use the express setting so you add less water to the mattress. Be sure to extract as much excess liquid as possible. Once finished allow the mattress to dry for at least 12 hours (leaving moisture can cause mold to form, thus ruining your mattress). I recommend using a box fan on it, to speed up the process of drying

For the price tag of $250 this machine, did not meet expectations unfortunately this was a same day return. Read the user manual and still fails to include curiously engineered cleaning techniques and mechanics. Leaves mini ponds of water and takes (longer than states on product to dry). Would recommend the competition Hoovers Carpet cleaner in response to a decent carpet cleaner for the money. This Bissell was a let down for the money.

This thing is a beast! It’s hard to get it back on a rug if you run off the edge onto tile. The handle grip is uncomfortable and having to squeeze the trigger is painful after long periods. My last machine automatically released solution on the outward push. The cord is quite short. The dirty water canister requires 3 empties per 1 tank of clean solution water. This tank appears to be equal to the clean tank but the float/shutoff only allows about 3 inches of dirty water. Constant emptying!! And that’s the nastiest part of steam cleaning, just amplified trifold with this machine. The courtesy Bissell solution provided is the most toxic cleaner! I realized after I cleaned the rug my dogs and cats lay on that the cleaner was toxic to animals and pets. Totally contradicts being a pet stain and odor cleaner when the label says “hazard to humans and domestic animals avoid contact with eyes or clothing wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum using tobacco or using the toilet”…. so I just basically poisoned my carpet. It works like a champ. But then so did my Hoover with zero complaints. I wish I would’ve spent the extra $ and stuck with Hoover.

Wow! Never realized how bad my carpets were. I have a Hoover one I was using but didn’t think was quite cutting it. Pics included are after vacuuming then running the Hoover first. Any believe the difference! Two dogs.

I am impressed with the thought put into the design of this unit. The ability to select a deep clean or quick clean is helpful. The impressive suction was surprising. The ability to easily remove the brush cover for cleaning is very helpful. The dirty water container is easy to empty. Only two things I would like improved were the motor noise and a few more feet on the power cord would be nice. For a home unit, this is a winner.

I bought this to replace my previous Bissell which had always leaked somewhat from the bottom but then it started smoking and I guess the belt gave out. The first time using it I tried to clean my new area rug and it started making this really loud high pitched noise and dumped all the water from the tank into my rug. It took me an hour to try and get as much water out of my rug as possible. I returned it the next day. Also, trying to put in the antibacterial solution into the easy fill cap made it slip off of the cap and I got that solution all over myself. Wound up with burns on my stomach.

I've had this carpet cleaner for only a couple of years. I am cleaning it properly but in the last few try I've been using it, the cleaner hasn't been doing what it's supposed to do. I'm having trouble with it sucking up the dirty water and it doesn't have the capacity to shampoo the carpet anymore.

I must have gotten a lemon because I have had nonstop issues with my unit. At first, the water tank was leaking due to a manufacturing issue which needed to be replaced. Now after the second time I've used it in 8 months, I noticed a burning smell and found out that the belt was damaged. Aside from that, the dirty water tank looks big, but the max fill line is a small fraction of the actual tank itself which means I have to empty it often. It leaks water everywhere, so I have to bring a towel with me to wipe up my hardwood floors as I go from rug to rug. The only thing I like about this thing is that it's lightweight. I've had great success with Bissell products before, but their quality seems to be going downhill. I would invest in a higher quality vacuum over this model.

I have cleaned two 5x7 oriental rugs, one 11x14 oriental rug and two 5x3 rugs, This product cleans well. BUT after just that much use, the belt to the rotor brushes broke. I am NOT happy about that,

we use this carpet shampooer to shampoo our home monthly. it seems to clean pretty well. but there also always seems to be something leaking. if its not the clean water tank, its the dirty. but we don't leave the tank dirty so I can only assume the brown puddle found later is from water that was throughout the machine since we empty the dirty tank prior to putting it away.

I had some spots I thought might have been from parking lot repaving, and spots that I thought were coffee or tea. Decades old but they came up on the first run through. My carpet hasn't been this clean in years. I'm thrilled with this cleaner and the cleaning formulas.

I honestly wanted to love this carpet cleaner! It leaves you carpet so clean, fluffy, and most of all it removes ALL pet stains! I purchased this item in the beginning of May 2025 and by late June it stopped working. The issue is that the water stop spraying.

This machine is better than i thought. I have 3 dogs. there are piddle spots and also vomit on the carpet. Easy to put together. the instructions are simple to use. Very easy to clean. it shows the dirt and water being extracted. There was not chance of it being clogged. I was able to clean it out in between shampooing areas. the carpets were nearly dry after using it. I used a blue light before and after. not a trace of pet stains after i used the Bissell. the hand held tools worked great on my mattress and my ottoman. I cannot say enough. my house smells better. It was a good investment verses getting carpets cleaned every 3 - 6 months. I wished I recorded it. I will next time I use it.

I have used this product, from HSN, on area rugs. It uses so much soap and clean water that I would have to get at least half a gallon of shampoo to do a full size room. The dirty water tank goes to full when it's only 1/4 way full. It only does a so-so job of cleaning. The only thing is the 30 minute dry time is pretty spot on.
