Q: Why are all of the 5 star reviews from people that got this product for free if they would review it? Seems they are skewed ratings. Did anyone actually buy this and like it?

submitted by Carrie7645 - 5 years ago
  • A: Yes, I bought it. It is great overall and has minor issues from time to time. Wouldn’t reccomend heavy use though.

submitted byKinzley - 5 years ago
  • A: I truly just borrowed my moms to clean our living room and I am in absolute disbelief/shock at how AMAZING this works. I have two little (wild) boys and a new puppy and STAINS galore. It truly made our carpet look brand new… it looks better than when we hired professionals to clean it before. 1000000% going to purchase this myself!

submitted by - 8 months ago
  • A: I bought this not because I have pet stains but that I have kids, and they are messy. Some stains I didn't notice until I dedicated an entire day to cleaning my carpet throughout my house, so not sure how long they were there. Every stain I had came out and never came back. I recommend 100%.

Q: What is the water temperature? Heatwave Technology is not an answer and sounds like marketing/PR propaganda. Define HWT and answer the water temperature question!

submitted by Inquiring Mind - 6 years ago
  • A: in other words, it does NOT heat the water only blows some engine warm are over whatever temperature water you put in the tank

submitted byjp - 6 years ago
  • A: I had some leftover and cleaned with the water cold, and it still did an excellent job.

submitted byVic - 2 years ago
  • A: As you noted, this cleaner uses our HeatWave Technology and does not have a water heater in it. HeatWave Technology helps to maintain the temperature of the water placed in the clean tank. We recommend using hot but not boiling or microwaved tap water in the machine.

submitted by Kassandra - 25 days ago
  • A: Hi Kassandra. This machine doesn't incude a rinse and storage tray. The brushes are built-in. You can find the User Guide on our website!

Q: Can you use this machine to clean mattresses?

submitted by Gladys - 9 months ago
  • A: I've done it before, make sure you use the express setting so you add less water to the mattress. Be sure to extract as much excess liquid as possible. Once finished allow the mattress to dry for at least 12 hours (leaving moisture can cause mold to form, thus ruining your mattress). I recommend using a box fan on it, to speed up the process of drying

submitted byAjg - 6 months ago
  • A: Hi Gladys. We don't recommend using our machines on mattresses. Please consult the mattress manufacturer as cleaning instructions will vary.

submitted by christine - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Christine - you could use it for an area rug, yes, but if it's too small it may be difficult as the machine has powerful suction. Hopefully this helps!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't notice any heating at all of the cleaning solution. It didn't feel any warmer than when I put it in the tank. The float on the collection tank is set way too conservatively. It shut off the cleaner when it was only about 1/3 full. I was constantly having to empty the tank. My carpet looks very clean, but it smells bad and has smelled bad for over a week. I never had this problem with my old Hoover steam cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use the machine on deep plush carpet. Not happy that fresh/clean solution was being sucked into dirty reservoir on initial forward passes before it could be scrubbed into the carpet. Seems a waste of cleaning solution. For best results on deep clean I apply solution on a forward pass, lift the brushes and reset for the next part of the area and repeat until I've covered the area, allowing the solution scrubbed into the carpet to sit for 10-20 minutes. I then start over making backward passes without applying solution, only brushes and suction. I finish by starting over and making backward passes across the area 90deg/perpendicular from the first two passes, again with only brushes and suction. I really think a way to turn on/ off suction, similar to the trigger for solution would be much better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd ProHeat 2X. I used the ProHeat 2X Revolution Carpet Cleaner to shampoo all my carpeting. It had excellent suction to extract all the dirty solution. I used the hose and attachments for the steps. The suction was not as good as the floor suction. The spray shot worked ok but took awhile to learn how to line it up to the dirty spot. It was easy to clean the machine. Overall, I would recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cleaned every carpet and rug in my house as soon as this machine landed on my porch. This includes 2 staircases - 1 carpeted stairway and the other with a rug inlay in the middle of the stairway. The 3 way carpet tool works well, yet the build quality of the stair tool could be more robust. Then I cleaned the upholstery of several fabric chairs and a love seat with the upholstery tool and hose. Then I cleaned the seats of my SUV with the upholstery tool and the carpet in my SUV with the stair tool. This machine works better than my old Bissell ProHeat 2x that was about 20 years old. Then main improvement this machine has over the older Bissell machine is that the extraction of the dirty water/solution from the carpet / rug / fabric is much better, leaving the surface a lot drier. The spray on the brush rollers is even and the 2 brush rollers scrub the carpet very well.

Got a great deal on this (being a member of Consumer Reports) and was able to clean ALL the carpet in the house with no worry about meeting a timeline for return. Did a wonderful job...exceeded my expectations. Machine feels and looks well built/heavy duty/built to last.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have some naughty cats that have had a few incidents on my carpet. I've been using a small shampooer which did ok, but had very little power. Now, I've upgraded to the Revolution Pet Pro Bissell. It's very powerful and is great at getting these stubborn stains out of my carpet. I love that I can see the difference once the stains are removed. I also tried the Deep Stain Tool attachment on a piece of furniture and it does work very well. The stain is GONE. Love this Bissell almost as much as my cats. And I really do love my cats.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this machine on sale. Surprisingly did a good job in restoring original carpets that were installed in 1994. Doing the carpeted stairs was time consuming. Would have been nice to have a agitating mechanical brush device for the stairs instead of a hand scrubbing attachment. Eventually got the job done.

We got this recently and it's very easy to use and works very well. I was not a fan of the smell of the febreeze cleaner as I find that it's very cloying as a perfume but you may like it. We didn't have any urine soiled areas so I can't comment on that but it did clean the carpet well. I did think that both sample bottles worked well on cleaning the carpets. We got up tons of cat hair and dirt from the rugs that a vacuum alone can't get. I have the large orange forced air can fans and I recommend getting a couple of to keep running after you're done carpet cleaning to help speed up your drying time.

First the cons/caveats: If you buy this thing, get an extended warranty on it. I have owned three so far over the last 5 years. This last one has been almost 2 years without any issues. The thing I have encountered include that the solution pump dies(happened twice!) and the the clean water tank leaks near the release valve(happened once). So definitely not good relaiability for the price. Pros: Cleans great Attachments are handy Way more portable than most carpet deep cleaners Tanks are easy to fill and to empty. Only issue is the dirty water tank needs to be cleaned out with clean water after each waste dump to keep stuff, like carpet fibers that get stuck, from building up in it. You literally have to shake it. I go a bathroom with a toilet and tub to make disposing of the nasty water easier along with flushing it out. Still better than cleaning the big cleaners. Shark now has a competing alternative I might try if this one dies again. We'll see.
